109 days have now passed since he was handed his seven-month ban for betting on football matches, something that’s started a new chapter in his life.

Fagioli has been quietly moving forward with his life following his ban from football, taking up an increased interest in tennis with his girlfriend Giulia. Unlike Paul Pogba, he is also allowed to train with his Juventus teammates.

The 22-year-old midfielder meets addiction specialist Paolo Jarre once or twice a week to working on his gambling addiction. He takes inspiration from Paolo Rossi, who was also disqualified and went on to become a hero with Italy at the World Cup in 1982.

Fagioli also carries out therapeutic work with the FIGC, taking part in appointments at amateur sports associations, federal territorial centres and centres for recovery from gambling addiction.
