Psalms 33:16 - 18 NIV
[16] No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength. [17] A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save. [18] But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love
Today we learn that no one prevails by his own strength. It is the Lord that saves, He is our redeemer. So let us always seek His face that we might find favour in His sight, and He blesses us. Let us hope in His unfailing love for us, that He will strengthen us and equip us to overcome, to His glory.
Amen 🙏

[27] Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
From today’s scripture we learn that worrying, or excessive thinking, about our problems does not make it any better. So when you are facing any situation, do not worry about it because it is vain to do so. But rather take it our heavenly father in prayer, with thanksgiving in our heart.

[1] “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
Jesus is telling us not to practice righteousness when people are around. This does not mean that we should act unrighteously in the presence of people but rather we shouldn’t act righteously only when people are around. We should practice righteousness before God. Because He is the one who rewards us not man. We should learn to do the right thing even when it seems no one is watching.

[23] The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” [24] That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
Today we learn that when a man and woman become united in marriage they become one flesh. Hence marriage is not something that should be taken for granted. It is not something you can just sign out of. So as we are growing into adulthood, let’s pray to God for our future spouses, that we will get the right one. Because choosing the wrong spouse can be very costly.

[1] After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem [2] and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
From today’s scripture we learn something from the Magi (the wise men). They were people of understanding who could read the stars and see signs, or an indication, of an event happening. Like in this case, the birth of the Christ. Let’s pray to God that just as those Magi could read the stars, He should grant us wisdom to also understand our circumstances and work our way through them.
