We all know of this story where God was calling Samuel and he thought it was Eli.

the word of God teaches me that sometimes that’s a way God can call us. So when I hear my mother call me and I go and she say me she didn’t call me. I don’t say it’s a hallucination I say to the Lord as Samuel was instructed “Speak, Lord, your servant hears.”
And I continue my day, it’s not every time I hear him from the beginning too but I didn’t stop now here I am.

So the word of God also teaches us the ways of God, we get to understand the principles we have to follow as Christians in order to walk in Christ and live in Gods love. We know that we are supposed to be consecrated because we are his chosen ones

2 Peter 1:5-8 (KJV)

⁵And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

⁶And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

⁷And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

⁸For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁹But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

Matthew 5:16 (KJV)

¹⁶Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

These scriptures for instance teach us unto the lives we are supposed to live as Christians.

That we shine forth our light

And that our light conquers the darkness of this dark world

John 8:12 (KJV)

¹²Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

And finally the word of God is our comfort in trying times or storms.

We remember when Jesus was in the boat with the disciples and a huge storm prevailed.
Jesus was just indifferent and even asleep because of his faith but the disciples were shaking forgetting the God they serve at that point

Mark 4:39-40 (KJV)

³⁹And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

⁴⁰And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

For we know that God can never change and that if he has done it someone why not us.

But the only way we know or we get to know that he has done it is by reading the word of God and to know the things God is able to do for us in our stormy days.

That no matter whatever I’m going through since someone has been delivered before why not me. There’s no disease God has not healed before, there’s no bankruptcy God has not restored, there’s nothing God can’t provide and can’t supply. So I will trust because this is what his word says and I am comforted🔥
