Maharshi: Daily puja [worship] as prescribed in the Dharma Shastras [scriptures] is always good. It is for the purification of the mind.

Even if one feels oneself too advanced to need such puja, still it must be performed for the sake of others. Such action will be an example to one’s children and other dependents.

🌿Having heard a lot of explanations one becomes knowledgeable and may even speak clearly about the "Knowledge of Brahman." However, if he holds on to pride and groundless hopes he is called a learned fool.

🌿One who advocates unrestrained actions, does not believe in the worship of God with attributes (saguna upasana), and criticizes one's own inherent duty (swadharma) and spiritual practice (sadhana), is a learned fool.

🌿Considering himself to be knowledgeable, he criticizes others and sees defects in all living beings. He is a learned fool.

🍃🌸Significance of Rama Navami🌸🍃

Ramnavami or the birthday of Lord Rama falls on the 9th day of the bright fortnight of the month of Chaitra (March-April). Rama was the Lord Hari Himself, incarnate on earth for the destruction of Ravana.

He was well accomplished, beautiful and endowed with royal marks. His glory and prowess were unlimited. He was peerless on earth. He was free from malice. He was gentle. He was the protector of all His people. He always addressed them in gentle words. He never used any harsh words even when somebody provoked Him. He held sway over the whole world.

Salutations to Lord Rama, who is measureless, who is of the nature of pure Consciousness and bliss, who is the consort of Sita, Master of Sri Hanuman, and the Lord of the three worlds, who took His birth at His own will in order to establish righteousness, destroy the wicked and protect His devotees.

Let Sri Rama be your ideal. Ideals are remembered and adored for the purpose of adopting them in your own life. The Ramnavami celebration or the Vasanta Navaratri every year is an opportune period for us to saturate ourselves with the spirit of Lord Rama. We love and adore our ideals because we express thereby our yearning to unite with them.

In our worship of God it is implied that we should be virtuous, good and perfect even as God is. Hence the wise instruction: "One should become divine in order to be able to worship God". One cannot be a real worshipper of Lord Rama unless one makes an honest attempt to grow in the virtues that the Lord represents. On the other hand, worship of Lord Rama is itself the surest means to develop such virtues.

One who approaches Sri Rama with love and worshipfulness becomes large-hearted, pure in spirit, good-natured and dispassionate in thought, word and deed. A true devotee of Lord Rama is His representative, with His power and His knowledge.

Righteousness is the spiritual spark of life. Cultivation of righteousness is the process of unfoldment of the latent divinity in man. The glorious incarnation of the Supreme Being in the form of Lord Rama has exemplified the path of righteousness. Let mankind follow His footsteps and practise the ideals cherished by Him, for it is only thus that there can be everlasting peace, prosperity and welfare in this world.

None but the righteous can be truly happy. None but he who has the correct sense of duty and the will for its implementation can be said to live worthily. One must be imbued with a definite conviction about the supremacy of moral principles, ethical values and spiritual ideals. That is the purpose of life. That is the way to Self-realisation. That is the message and the mission of Lord Rama's Life on earth.

To a devotee, Sri Rama is not simply a good and a great person, but God Himself. Rama was the son of King Dasaratha of Ayodhya, but He is also the divine omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient God. The destruction of the ten-headed Ravana signifies the annihilation of the mind or the ten senses.

The Name of Lord Rama is the greatest purifier of the heart. Not only this, but it wipes away the sinful tendencies as well. It is the purifier of all purifying agencies. It quenches the consuming fire of worldly desires. It awakens the knowledge of God. It bathes the aspirant in the, ocean of divine bliss.

Blessed is the pious soul who uninterruptedly drinks the nectar of Sri Rama's Name which has been churned out of the ocean of the Vedas, which removes the impurities of the Kali Yuga or the iron age, which is a sovereign remedy or unfailing specific to cure the disease of worldly existence. Sri Rama is Brahman who takes one across the ocean of worldly existence. Rama is one in across whom the Yogis sport, that is, the Self within.

On the auspicious Ramnavmi day take a firm resolve that you will repeat Ram-Nam with every breath and that you will endeavour to lead a righteous life. May Sri Rama's blessings and grace guide you all to your highest good and well-being. 🙏🏻😇

On this auspicious occasion of Rama Navami, we decided to share with you all, the divine words of Sri Rama (spoken to Lakshaman) in the form of this divine scripture, Rama Gita. 🙏🏻😇

This is complete collection of sixty-two verses spoken by Lord Rama to his devoted brother Lakshaman are found in Veda Vyasa's Adhyatma Ramayana, in the Uttarakanda as its fifth chapter.

It is conceived in the literary style called Pauranic. The text, popularly known as Sri Rama-Gita, is also often described as sruti- sara- sangraha, a brief summary of the very essence of all the Vedas.

🌿O you who are most wise! know that the universe is a well-ordered unity of interdependent forms. All things therein, rocks, plants, fish, birds and beasts dwell in harmony with each other and according to My World-Supporting Law [Dharma]. Of all creatures, ignorant men alone act not by My command.

🌿For they are possessed by a vain Ego: not content with what I Myself allotted them, they yearn to be something else. Moreover, they lift themselves in pride above others and give themselves to works that are hateful and wrong.

🌿Possessed by a defective ego they break the sacred bond of oneness and go to the abode of discord where sin is their God and sorrow their lot. Therefore, well do the wise ones know that ego is man's greatest foe.

🌿Thus, through association with the ego, the deluded sense of I, the soul [jiva] who is Pure Spirit [Atman] comes to forget his true identity and succumbs to the conviction that he is non-Spirit.

🌿Having forgotten that he himself is Pure and Perfect, Self-Shining Light, the sou [jiva] deems himself to be as dull and lacklustre as the material substance he identifies with. In this dull condition, having once shined like a great star in the midst of the Infinite vault of Consciousness, he becomes dependent upon outer, physical light.

🌿Having once soared like an eagle in the radiant sky of spiritual reality, he now stands helpless upon the hard ground of physical existence, enveloped in gloom.

🌿Due to this blind darkness that separates them from the light of Spirit [Atman], the heart of unenlightened soul is ever-restless, tormented and suffers all kinds of pain.

🌿The only antidote to Separation is Yoga, for Yoga confers knowledge of the Self [Atma-gyana]. By means of Yoga one knows oneself to be the Self [Atman] eternal, whereas the Mind and its delusions are born and die away.

So long as body is there, action is bound to happen in one form or the other. Only the notion, "I am the doer" needs to be given up. No need to renounce the activities. The activities do not obstruct the spirituality, as work and wisdom have no conflict essentially. Only the attitude, "I did", "I do" is the obstruction. Separate your sense of the Self from what your ego and body are feeling or doing. Cultivate the attitude - "Feelings are going on, the body is acting in so and so manner", but never think, "I feel, I act".

Let me tell you a little secret. You have no problems. It has been your ego all the time - fooling you, making you believe that something is wrong. You have been playing hide and seek, trying to find Me here, there and everywhere, when all the time I have been within yourself, as yourself.

We act as if problems came from outside. We try to blame someone else and say, "He caused the problem. She caused the problem. This or that caused the problem." The nature of the human mind is to blame somebody or something.

You are your own problem, your own friend and your own enemy. In other words, if your mind is a good friend to you, you will see only friends everywhere. But if your own mind acts like a traitor, you will find few friends. So make your mind your friend. Let it not color your vision. Let it not prejudice your thinking. It can be a beautiful instrument with which you can understand things well.

What you sow, you reap. That is God's way. That's why you don't need to praise God for happiness or blame God for unhappiness. You are the cause of it all.
