Telegram offers two types of APIs for developers. Both are free of charge. Another useful feature is “send without sound”. Telegram offers a few other handy options in chats. You can delete any message by long-pressing it, then hitting the Trash icon that appears. The app lets you delete messages at any time—even messages that the other person sent in a chat. To make such a group or find people near you, swipe right on the homepage, tap on “Contacts”, and then tap on “Find People Nearby”. You will see a list of nearby people and groups sorted by distance. On Android, simply slide out the left menu and choose New Secret Chat to start a new one. On iPhone, open a chat, tap the contact's name at the top, choose More, and then hit Start Secret Chat.

To mute a chat in Telegram, head over to the chat in question. Next, tap the name at the top and then hit the mute button. Sometimes people interrupt you halfway through typing an important message, and you forget all about it—this where drafts come in handy.
