Assalaamualaykum guys

Just wanted to share a couple hadith:

Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, โ€œNo good deeds are better than what is done in these first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.โ€ Some companions of the Prophet said, โ€œNot even jihad in the way of Allah?โ€ The Prophet said, โ€œNot even jihad in the way of Allah, except for a man who goes out with his life and wealth at risk and he returns with nothing.โ€

โ€˜Abdullah ibn โ€˜Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There are no days greater in the sight of Allah and in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these ten days, so during this time recite a great deal of Tahlil ("La ilaha ill-Allah"), Takbir and Tahmid." ๐Ÿ“Œ What to do on the day of Arafah

"This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion."
(Al-Ma'idah 5:3)

Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: โ€œThere is no day on which Allah ransoms more of His slaves from the Fire than the day of Arafah. He draws close then He boasts about them before the angels and says, โ€˜What do these people want?โ€™โ€ (Narrated by Muslim, 1348)

The day of arafah will begin today from Maghrib time and will end by Saturday Maghrib time

โฐ Use your time wisely on this day and make the most of it

Fasting:
Make the intention to fast and set your alarms for suhoor. Fasting on this day will wipe away your sins from the past and upcoming year so do not miss this opportunity!

Tahajud: Set aside extra time before suhoor to pray at least one tahajud prayer

Dhikr: Make sure to increase your dhikr on this day. This includes Quran, make sure to dedicate some time for it. And repeat these often:

โ€“ Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah)

โ€“ Alhamdulilah (Praise be to Allah)

โ€“ La ilaha illa Allah (There is no God except Allah)

โ€“ Allahu Akbar (Allah is The Greatest)

โ€“ La ilaha illa Allahu, wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu, wa huwa โ€˜alaa kulli shayyโ€™in qadeer (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Alone Who has no partners, to Him belongs Dominion and to Him belong all the Praises, and He has power over all things (i.e. Omnipotent)

Abd-Allah ibn โ€˜Amr ibn al-โ€˜As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: โ€œThe best of duโ€™a is duโ€™a on the day of โ€˜Arafah, and the best that I and the Prophets before me said is โ€˜La ilaha ill-Allah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahuโ€™l-mulk wa lahuโ€™l-hamd wa huwa โ€˜ala kulli shayโ€™in qadir (There is no god but Allah Alone, with no partner or associate; His is the dominion, to Him be praise, and He has power over all things).โ€ (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (3585)โ€™ classed as hasan by al-Albani in Sahih al-Targhib (1536)

Dua: Have your dua list ready and make plenty of it, especially between Asr and Maghrib time. Remember to make dua for the ummah.

When making dua be sure to start off by praising Allah SWT by using any of His 99 names. Followed by peace and blessings upon Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ

Have gratitude for whatever Allah has already given you. Repent and seek Allahโ€™s Forgiveness. Be humble before Allah SWT. Be in a state of wudu if possible. Remove all distractions and focus on Allah SWT being in front of you. Face the qibla and pour your heart out to Him.

See this guide on how to make the best dua https://www.tg-me.com/doseofdeen/3989

Salman al-Farsi reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, โ€œVerily, Allah is conscientious and generous. He would be shy, when a man raises his hands to Him, to turn them away empty and disappointed.โ€

May Allah ๏ทป accept everyoneโ€™s efforts and may He accept our duas, Ameen
