I don't 100% agree with this in the sense that we can't consume our way to a better world, there is still no ethical consumption, but abstinence from consuming certain products - as a STRATEGIC form of activism - absolutely works.

Reminder- insect hotels are *fine,* but can actually damage your local pollinator pollination if you're not making them correctly and cleaning them.

It's much, much, much better to just plant flowers and leave some piles of leaves and bare patches of dirt for solitary bees to dig in.

It's like bird feeders. It's okay to use bird feeders, but they need to be sterilized regularly, and ultimately its just better to plant things that birds like.
