♻️فعل ترکیبی run across دو معنی دارد؛ معنی اول این فعل ترکیبی ‘کسی را به صورت تصادفی دیدن’ است. به یک مثال توجه کنید:

👈از فعل log on زمانی استفاده می کنیم که بخواهیم درباره وصل شدن به یک سرور یا پیوستن به یک چت روم یا سایت بازی صحبت کنیم:

🔸After logging on, I accessed the shared files from the client.

👈از فعل log in زمانی استفاده می کنیم که بخواهیم درباره ورود و دسترسی به حساب های شخصی مانند ایمیل صحبت کنیم:

⚠ در این مثال از log in to استفاده شده است نه log into. اصولاً استفاده از log into صحیح نیست.
