❓آیا می‌دونی که چطور دو تا ایده که با هم در تضاد هستن رو به هم وصل کنی؟

✅واسه این کار میتونی از این موارد استفاده کنی:

⭕️in spite of (علی رغم، با وجود)
⭕️despite (علی رغم، با وجود)
⭕️although (هرچند، اگرچه)
⭕️even though (هرچند)
⭕️though (اگرچه)

🟣تفاوت اصلی بین اینها اینه که با ساختارهای متفاوتی به کار میرن.



1⃣in spite of / despite:

🟣بعد از این دو تا می‌تونیم از اسم، فعل ingدار و یا یک ضمیر استفاده کنیم. این دو عبارت به طور کلی می‌تونن به جای هم استفاده بشن.

✅ They never made much money, in spite of their success.

✅ Despite having a headache, I had a great birthday.

✅The train was cancelled. In spite of that, we arrived on time.

🟣 استفاده از این دو مورد همراه با عبارت "the fact that" رایجه‌، و به دنبالشون به subject و verb (جمله کامل) نیاز داریم.

✅In spite of the fact that he worked very hard, he didn't pass the exam.

✅ Despite the fact that he worked very hard, he didn't pass the exam.

2⃣although & even though

🟣بعد از این دو مورد به یک جمله کامل نیاز داریم. "Even though" تاکید بیشتری نسبت به "Although" دارد.

✅Although it was late, he decided to call her.

✅Even though she spoke very quietly, he understood ever word.

3⃣ though

🟣کاربرد مشابهی با "although" داره، اما می‌تونه در آخر جمله هم بیاد که تو مکالمات خیلی رایجه.

✅It was raining; we went for a walk, though.

✅ Though I wasn't keen on the film, I thought the music was beautiful.
