ፋኖን የሚደግፍ ማንም ይሁን ማን በሰፊው የኦሮሞ ህዝብ በኩል ጠላት ተደርጎ የሚቆጠር ነው፡፡ ፋኖ በዋናነት ኦሮሞን ለመውረር የሚታገል ሲሆን፤ ፋኖን የሚደግፍ አክቲቪስት ሆነ ፖለቲከኛ በሙሉ ኦሮሞ ላይ የሚሞከረውን ወረራ የሚያግዝ በመሆኑ ጸረ ኦሮሞ ህዝብ ነው፡፡
