🎤Hi, greetings from Pordenone, Italy. This is our third time here. Last year didn't go well for us; unfortunately, I had a crash with a tree, so my hand was injured, and we couldn't finish the race. Today we have shakedown, and then will be the prologue. Tomorrow we have two stages for National, so keep your fingers crossed. We are testing a new car and a new navigator, so we're looking forward to it.

🎤Hello, so we have just finished the proper first stage of the rally, finished the prologue. 12 km prologue, very nice prologue, super fast, with a lot of stony tracks like the race used to us. Some parts with a lot of twist and narrow parts with a lot of water and mud, but we finished without any problem just having two airplanes to make reverse because was super super tight and for these big cars it's not easy to turn the car properly but seems like we won the prologue so so far so good and for sure for tomorrow we have to be clever to choose our starting position but yeah first day done i'm happy and thank you so much for all your support
Italian Baja 2024, prologue (Challenger)

In the Challenger Lightweight Prototype category, success at the prologue also belongs to the Portuguese, who took the first three positions. The trio of João Dias, Paulo Jorge Rodrigues and Alexandre Pinto were noticeably ahead of their main rivals - Pole Adam Kuś (fourth) and Argentinean Fernando Álvarez (eighth).

Prologue (Challenger, T3)*
1. Dias/Ré (Can-Am) 9:13.1
2. Rodrigues/Miranda (Can-Am) +2.9
3. Pinto/Oliveira (Can-Am) +8.9
4. Kuś/Pasek (GRally) +24.6
5. Castagnera/Tassile (Can-Am) +32.5

🎤So we just finished the prologue for Italian Baja. Seems like we are second at the moment. So now we have to think what we do for tomorrow, because first 10 participants, top 10, in the prologue we are choosing starting position. And actually major question is what to do because tomorrow stage will be made three times. So we will be driving the same configuration three times. So first time for sure it will be a lot of water.

But we have seen here in prologue as well. So after first run I believe that most of water will disappear and then it will be mostly muddy maybe or quite good grip. So we have to think what to do for tomorrow. Actually the stage was in some places was very technical and very twisty and really narrow. In some cases it was just very fast, wide and this special road with a lot of small stones what you can find only maybe here in Italian Baja. So yeah. Okay, it was a technical stage, we made it and let's go for tomorrow.

Italian Baja 2024, prologue (SSV)

Although only six competitors started in the production SSV category (initially there were seven, but İsrafil Akyüz's crew was disqualified before the start), it was here that the most intense battle for the prologue win was fought.

The winner of the prologue was the Spaniard Fidel Castillo Ruiz, who beat the Italian Amerigo Ventura by only 0.1 seconds!

Prologue (SSV, T4)*
1. Castillo/Mota (BRP Can-Am)
2. Ventura/Mingozzi (Yamaha) +0.1
3. Białkowski/Baśkiewicz (BRP Can-Am) +4.3
4. Prat/Del Cid (Yamaha) +11.7
5. Buller/Jorado (Yamaha) +36.2

Well, we finished the Prologue in Baja Italia. In our side, it was not so good because I made two mistakes. In tight corners, I had to make two times reverse, so we lost time doing that, but it's okay. The car is perfect. Tomorrow will be a long day. There is a lot of splash, a lot of water, so we will see. We will see. We have to be careful with the cars. I don't know if they will support that quantity of water all the time hitting the car, but we will see tomorrow. Long day. Thank you very much for everything. We will see. Tomorrow we're coming with better news.

🎤I am very satisfied. We are at Baja Italia. We are currently after the prologue. The prologue was very nice, very technical. A lot of narrow sections, a lot of fast sections. So there was something enjoyable for everyone. You could have some fun with the car. It was quite a fast segment. We are satisfied with the third place because I thought it would be much worse. I reversed twice. And besides that, I made two mistakes, so I am very satisfied.

🎤Hello guys, Amerigo and Erika from the first stage of Italian Baja, the prologue. It went very good, so it was just a little bit more than 10 km, but we enjoyed a lot. We tried to stay as clean as possible, so we avoided some mud pools, but we went flat out and all the other parts and I think we are really second of T4 just for less than a second with the Castillo that is a bad guy, damn and so we are ready for tomorrow and so Erika did a great job we catch some dust and we're happy
