Yes, well, here we are, we've finished the race in Greece. I think we finished fourth in our category and between 10th and 13th overall. It was a great race. We got caught in a hailstorm in the last stage, with lots of rain. Well, that didn't do the car or the crew any favors. We got thoroughly soaked, and it was very slippery with the hail. But we made it, we're happy, we finished the race.

🎤Hello, we are here in the finish line, just before the podium, well, we did it, finally, we did the last stage so conservative, remaining stable and we won, we won the rally, big congratulations for BBR, we are so happy, Jaume did an amazing job, I was maintaining a regular pace during the rally and we are more than happy to win the Baja Greece.

Well, we finished Rallye Greece, it was ok, we did a very good job, but finally we were second because in the last part of the special we got a bunch, so we had to stop to change the tyres, so we lost time and it was enough to Alex Toril beat me, but we are happy anyway because we were afraid about, because even being second we are still leading the category and leading the overall of the cars also, so this is the business and this is our business, so anyway, only 5 points we lost here, but for the moment we are leading, we will see in Spain the next round, so thank you very much for your support and I will see you soon there.

🎤We won! I am incredibly happy. Honestly, we had a lot of luck, and it’s thanks to the efforts of everyone—our navigator Jean Michel, the Overdrive team, the people at Toyo Tires—that we achieved this result, and I’m really pleased. However, I still need to understand this car better and improve my skills. This was the first time these tires were used in a gravel race, so we gathered data that we didn’t have before. We’ll thoroughly analyze this feedback to further improve the car’s performance and my own abilities. Next is Qatar, but I consider today a new starting point and I’ll continue to work hard. Thank you very much.

🎤It was a great rally. We weren't expecting to finish on the overall podium, but getting our first podium in the world championship is really wonderful, especially after experiencing that incredible event with the bear yesterday. Unfortunately, we had several punctures—three out of four stages—but we keep beautiful landscapes and many experiences in mind. This second place is really satisfying and encouraging.

The scenery is truly magnificent. We climbed to 2000 meters in altitude, and you could even say we were cold in the car. We encountered rain, which is quite incredible in cars like these with no windshields. But we are lucky to do rallies and discover such landscapes, so it's really great.

To disqualify Competitor Car No 403 from the FIA Event Baja Greece 2024.

During the final scrutineering 2 items of the car No 403 (inlet manifold fitted on the engine and the belt of the CVT device) have been found not compliant.

The hearing was held on Saturday May, 25, 2024 in the Stewards Room, at 20:15 in presence of the Team Representative Mr. Antonio M. Naranjo and the driver Mr. Alex Toril.

The Team Manager and the driver stated that they have bought the car directly from the manufacturer and that they have not modified or changed parts of the manifold. Regarding the CVT belt they stated that it was a spare part from a different brand, because BRP had a lack of original spare parts. On both items they committed that it is not compliant to the regulations, but that no sporting advantage
was gained.
After the disqualification of Spaniard Alex Toril, the winner of Baja Greece in the SSV category was Argentinean Fernando Álvarez. This is the second consecutive victory for him at the FIA World Baja Cup round in this category - now he has the maximum possible 88 points after two rounds.

Desafio Ruta 40. Press Release

Like in 2023, Nasser Al Attiyah heads to Argentina for the second successive year as championship leader. But as was the case last year, the Qatari's trajectory has not been a long, tranquil wadi! A year ago, the reigning world champion retired in Abu Dhabi after rolling on stage 3. This season, it was on the Dakar that the double world champion went home empty-handed (retirement at the end of the 48 Hour Chrono). With new co-driver Edouard Boulanger at the controls of a Hunter remodelled to his specifications in record time by his new Prodrive team, Al Attiyah took the reins of the championship with authority, scoring two wins in quick succession. With 112 points and victories in Saudi Arabia and Portugal on his Hunter's tally sheet, Nasser now leads the championship ahead of Carlos Sainz. But like last year, Yazeed Al Rajhi is his main threat in Argentina. The Saudi Arabian has also had an eventful season, marked by two rollovers in his Overdrive Racing Hilux. The first on stage 6 of the Dakar forced him to retire. The second, on stage 3 in Portugal, ended his chances of victory, which he had control of at the time. Yazeed is nevertheless firmly anchored in third place overall with 79 points. A position on the championship podium that Lucas Moraes (Toyota Gazoo Racing) covets. The Brazilian has 76 points and recently finished third in Portugal. To stay in the title race through to the season finale in Morocco this October, the two Toyota drivers know they have no margin for error. Local raiders Juan Cruz Yacopini and Sebastian Halpern could find themselves among the protagonists in the race for the championship. Not in contention for the title, the younger Mendoza-born Overdrive Racing driver finished runner-up in last year's race. The experienced X-raid Mini JCW driver has won twice on the Desafio Ruta 40 (2016 and 2018).
📖FIA World Baja Cup 2024: provisional standing after Baja Greece

With the new rules, the overall standings have become the most complicated in the FIA World Baja Cup. The most important factors here were high efficiency in his category (Fernando Álvarez won two rounds out of two) and the application of coefficients (in Greece, a coefficient of 1.2 in the SSV category earned Álvarez 48 points instead of the usual 40).
