To set self-destruction timer, swipe right on the homepage, tap “New Secret Chat”, and add recipients. Speaking of multiples, Telegram allows you to upload additional profile photos. While the latest photo is the profile picture your contacts will see, they can swipe to see the rest of your pictures. Ultimately though, using Telegram doesn’t necessarily mean your messages are more private or secure than when using WhatsApp or other messaging apps. Tap and hold on a message to select it first and then again tap and hold to select your part of the message. That’s ingenious, right?
