There are a lot of cool things you can do with Telegram, and we have included some of the best ones on this list. Telegram lacks the Stories feature of some competing messaging apps which lets you post images or short videos without messaging a contact directly. Bots that are integrated into the Attach attachment menu can now also work in groups and channels in addition to one-on-one chats. I have been using Telegram for a long time. It’s straightforward, and most Telegram features save time and make my day-to-day life so much easier. Does it ever happen that you send a message, and within a few seconds you find out a glaring typo? Well, there is an edit button to save you on Telegram, but not so much on Twitter. All you have to do is select the message and tap on the “Edit (pen)” icon at the top and you can easily edit the message. However, it will show you an “Edited” label after you have made the changes. Also, there are no time-bound restrictions for editing messages on Telegram. You can only edit messages up to 48 hours of sending them (forever if the messages are posted in your “Saved Messages” chat). Ultimately though, using Telegram doesn’t necessarily mean your messages are more private or secure than when using WhatsApp or other messaging apps. Server-side data leaks can still happen, and no amount of encryption will help if your end device is already compromised.

All usernames on Telegram have their own t.me/username links, making it easy to share public profile, group or channel anywhere on the internet.
