澳大利亚电子安全专员近日向GitHub发出正式函件，要求其评估是否应被归类为可能危害未成年人的“社交媒体平台”。新规将于12月10日生效，禁止16岁以下青少年使用被认定对儿童有害的特定社交媒体平台。网友对此表示嘲讽，认为此举过于荒谬。#GitHub #澳大利亚新规

若该政策实施，F-Droid 及其他自由/开源应用分发平台将无法维持现有模式。全球用户将失去可被任何人验证的数千款可信应用库，既无法安装新应用，也无法更新已安装应用。开源生态的安全基石将面临瓦解。

NixOS moderation team 由于与 Steering Committe 的未能解决的分歧而集体辞职*。Mod team 希望 SC 主动与其交流而不是对具体对策和成员任免强加干涉，而 SC 则认为 Mod team 的部分行为有偏向性并且并未严格遵守 Code of Conduct，且未能对 SC 尽到披露义务。
这也意味着，在今年 SC 重新选举前后，SC 将基本重组，而 Mod team 将完全重组。一部分社区成员期望采取的政治立场是否将会得到实施，是一个仍不明确的问题。

Alpine Linux plans /usr merge
Alpine Linux 计划在 3.23 版本中合并文件系统路径，将 /lib、/bin 和 /sbin 改为指向 /usr 对应目录的符号链接。所有软件包将统一安装到 /usr 路径下，目前 /usr/bin 和 /usr/sbin 仍保持独立，但若文件系统层次结构标准（FHS）更新，可能会进一步调整。该变更预计于 11 月发布，自 2027 年 5 月 Alpine 3.22 生命周期结束后，未合并路径的系统将不再受支持。
