Life is a dance between the Apollonian and the Dionysian.
Rigid order giving way to ecstasy and chaos.
It is the life lived with structure and organization that thrives and can still excel in times of chaos, disorder and upheaval, whereas the opposite is not also true.
We seek the meaning and beauty in the Dionysian moments- the Odinic frenzy, and the intoxication...but we do not, and cannot live there.
Dionysus without Apollo is wretched excess.
Apollo without Dionysus is harsh and joyless.
Finding the correct balance of time spent in extremes is critical for growth and stability.

MAHR’s second full length continues where their excellent debut “Trident, Sword, and Scythe” left off.
Combining elements of uptempo Finnish black metal with an aggressive USBM “black n’ roll” style, Mahr distills their sound into a distinctly triumphant, guitar-driven slab of crushing yet catchy black metal.
The fleshing out of MAHR from a one man band into its current manifestation as a three-piece has given the outfit a much fuller and heavier sound. Excellent drumming and bass work brings a relentless attack to their composition, seamlessly transitioning from soaring, dare we say uplifting passages into percussive brutality. “DCAITS” continues to showcase guitarist and frontman Skoll’s growing proficiency, as he weaves complex riffing effortlessly into pieces without losing the feeling of coherence or aggression.
Simply put, “Death Comes Adorned in the Sun” delivers hard, with six tracks of majestic fury that MAHR is likely to become synonymous with as their reputation grows.
