A time when the global “Norse” pagan “community,” made up largely (but thankfully not entirely) of wretched leftists, out of shape nerds and the incredibly, wildly autistic shriek and argue while citing dubious scholastic credentials, over historical (in)accuracy, reasons for the season, racism, appropriation, exact dates of the Solstice, Christianity vs. Paganism etc.
High-test pagan Yule:
Celebrate a righteous and uplifting winter-time festival with family and community.
Eat good food.
Drink good beer.
Give lots of gifts, to your Christian family or friends as well.
Remember that your ancestors had traditions that changed from place to place, and that most of it they simply made up at some point because it was rad as fuck and it felt right to them.
I’ve always believed paganism was about the blood, the red thunder, and the legacy we leave behind us.
Not arguing over translations.
