Health & Safety Officer - Part Time 50% - Basra, Iraq

We are looking for a/an Health & Safety Officer to join our Services_EMEA team in Iraq .
Purpose of the job:
To maintain an effective and legally compliant Health and Safety Management system meeting the requirements of ISO 45001 whilst meeting customer satisfaction goals and the company’s overall ESH strategy.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Maintenance of health and safety management system in compliance with legal requirements for the protection of all Sulzer personnel in accordance with ISO 45001;
Promote Health and Safety best practice throughout the organization;
Plan and supervise safe mechanical lifting operations;
Supervise workshop and site activities to ensure HSE regulations are adhered to;
Provide necessary documentation for executing projects;
Support the Tendering Engineer during tender process with ESH related documentation and questionnaires;
Conduct and support internal and external Health and Safety Audits;
Ensure corrective action plans from audits, accidents / incident reports are implemented and closed out in a timely manner;
Ensure risk assessments are up to date and are communicated across the organisation;
Establish relationships with client ESH teams;
Ensuring that HSE requirements from contractors (risk assessments, method statements etc.) are available;
Ensure adherence to legal requirements;
Drive company ESH initiatives until completion;
Submission of monthly ESH reports;
Host monthly ESH meetings.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
NEBOSH General Certificate;
ISO 45001 Auditor;
Experience in planning and supervising lifting operations (Qualified LEEA Lifting Supervisor is preferred);
Experience delivering HSE training programs;
Experience carrying out accident investigations and generating RCA reports;
Strong knowledge of Rotating Equipment (pumps, turbines, and compressors);
Strong communication skills;
Organisational skills;
Ability to act independently;
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Rotation basis - 28/28.

Join our Services_EMEA team within Services division in Iraq as Senior Operations Manager to help us take our business to the next level.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Leading the in-country operations team in Basra including workshop, field service, HSEQ and commercial activities.
Responsible for maintaining strict compliance with all security processes and procedures.
Responsible for implementing HSEQ systems and supporting HSSEQ Manager.
Accountable for HSE and welfare of operations personnel.
Identifying and solving specific rotating equipment engineering issues.
Preparing justification for modifications and engineering / operations improvements.
Provide technical support to clients and internally as required.
Lead Root Cause Failure Analyses to identify probable cause of failure and suggest improvements to enhance equipment performance.
Provide front line engineering and troubleshooting support for all rotating machinery.
Provide technical advice for field service and workshop teams.
Coordinate all activity involved in investigation, reporting and resolution of any warranty issues.
Assisting with preparation of technical proposals and tenders.
Develop and implement operational processes and procedures.
Provide coaching and mentoring for all operations teams.
Develop and execute specific training plans for various skill levels.
Participate in business development activity including client presentations.
Project / contract management of service contracts.
Manage planning, procurement, logistics support and operations functions.
Recruitment, training & development of workshop personnel.
What you bring to Sulzer:
Degree/equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
At least 15 years’ experience in rotating equipment engineering / operations role.
Managerial experience.
Knowledge of repairs workshop processes and procedures.
Knowledge of engineering codes/standards and best practice relating to rotating equipment.
Experience of upgrade, rerate and retrofit.
Knowledge of rotating equipment overhaul including centrifugal pumps and compressors.
Knowledge of electric motor repair and rewinding processes.
Experience and knowledge of relevant HS&E legislation.
Problem solving ability, attention to detail.
Organisation skills.
Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
Coaching & mentoring skills
General computer skills (MS office).
Working shedule - rotation basis (4 weeks on / 4 weeks off).
Location - Basra, Iraq.

إنشاء تصميمات وخطط مفصلة باستخدام مبادئ الهندسة. استخدام برنامج التصميم بمساعدة الكمبيوتر (CAD) للرسم.
إدارة وتطوير ميزانية المشروع وتقدير التكلفة.
إدارة عملية البناء في الخارج وضمان الالتزام بمواصفات التصميم والإبلاغ عن خطوات عملية المشروع.
قيادة وتطوير المشاريع من المفهوم المبكر إلى تطوير التصميم.
تنفيذ تدابير مراقبة الجودة لضمان سلامة المشروع.
اختيار المواد المناسبة لمشاريع البناء وتقييم جودة المواد وملاءمتها.
تحديد المخاطر المحتملة المرتبطة بالمشاريع وتطوير استراتيجيات للتخفيف من المخاطر وإدارتها.
تخطيط وتصميم البنية التحتية لتطوير الموقع ومعالجة القضايا المتعلقة بالتسوية والصرف والمرافق.
إنشاء وصيانة وثائق المشروع وتوليد التقارير والرسومات والمواصفات.
تحسين العمل مع فريق متعدد التخصصات من المهنيين. التواصل بشكل فعال مع أصحاب المصلحة.
وضع خطط لصيانة وإعادة تأهيل البنية التحتية القائمة. تنفيذ استراتيجيات لتمديد عمر الهياكل القائمة.
تصميم وتوثيق مشاريع المباني التجارية والصناعية.

المتطلبات:
خبرة لا تقل عن 3 سنوات في دور مماثل،
درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة المدنية.
إتقان تطبيقات Microsoft Office (Excel، Power Point، Outlook، Word.) وتطبيقات التصميم (civil 3D، autocad، geotechnical..إلخ).
إتقان اللغة العربية والإنجليزية، والكردية ميزة إضافية.
ظروف العمل:
دور مكتبي - 5 أيام في الأسبوع / 8 ساعات في اليوم.

المهام والمسؤوليات الرئيسية:
تخطيط المشروع ودراسات الجدوى من خلال تقييم جدوى المشروع المقترح وإجراء تحقيقات الموقع وتحليل البيانات.
إنشاء تصميمات وخطط مفصلة باستخدام مبادئ الهندسة. استخدام برنامج التصميم بمساعدة الكمبيوتر (CAD) للرسم.
إدارة وتطوير ميزانية المشروع وتقدير التكلفة.
إدارة عملية البناء في الخارج وضمان الالتزام بمواصفات التصميم والإبلاغ عن خطوات عملية المشروع.
قيادة وتطوير المشاريع من المفهوم المبكر إلى تطوير التصميم.
تنفيذ تدابير مراقبة الجودة لضمان سلامة المشروع.
اختيار المواد المناسبة لمشاريع البناء وتقييم جودة المواد وملاءمتها.
تحديد المخاطر المحتملة المرتبطة بالمشاريع وتطوير استراتيجيات للتخفيف من المخاطر وإدارتها.
تخطيط وتصميم البنية التحتية لتطوير الموقع ومعالجة القضايا المتعلقة بالتسوية والصرف والمرافق.
إنشاء وصيانة وثائق المشروع وتوليد التقارير والرسومات والمواصفات.
تحسين العمل مع فريق متعدد التخصصات من المهنيين. التواصل بشكل فعال مع أصحاب المصلحة.
وضع خطط لصيانة وإعادة تأهيل البنية التحتية القائمة. تنفيذ استراتيجيات لتمديد عمر الهياكل القائمة.
تصميم وتوثيق مشاريع المباني التجارية والصناعية.
العمل مع فرق عبر خطوط العمل، في مواقع بعيدة، والتنسيق مع المقاولين من الباطن.
