To change the number you use with Telegram, open Settings (which is inside the left menu on Android). On iPhone, in the next menu, tap Edit in the top-right corner. This step isn't necessary on Android. Next up, tap “Mute for” in the menu and then choose the desired mute duration in the pop-up menu. If you want to choose a custom date and time, tap Mute until and then set the date and time.
