تقرير مجموعة الأزمات الدولية الذي دعا فيه بايدن إلى شطب الحوثيين من قائمة الإرهاب في الخمسة الأيام الأولى لإدارته غير مهني وصادم لدرجة أني اعتقدت أنه بيان سياسي صادر عن الحوثيين، ما يكشف إلى أي حد تم اختراق منظمات المجتمع المدني ومراكز البحث لتكون بعيدة عن الموضعية بشكل مخزي.
التقرير عجز عن تبرئة الحوثيين من الإرهاب لكنه اختبئ خلف تأثير القرار على المواطنين، مع أنه أكد أن هناك مجموعة إجراءات يمكن للإدارة الأمريكية عملها لتجنيب المدنيين أية أضرار، وفي نفس الوقت الابقاء على تصنيف الحوثيين كإرهابيين لأنهم فعلًا يمارسون الإرهاب كتفجير المنازل مثلًا.
لكن التقرير ركز على رفع الحوثيين من القائمة لا على كيفية تجنيب المواطنين الأضرار. فضح التقرير تأثير صداقات الحوثيون مع فريق مجموعة الأزمات ما يحتاج لتحقيق من رئاسة المجموعة مع من كتب التقرير الأشبه بالبيان السياسي الصادر عن الحوثيين منه لتقرير منظمة دولية يفترض أن تكون مستقلة.
ما كان ينبغي لمجموعة الأزمات الدولية دعوة إدارة بايدن لرفع الحوثيين من قوائم الإرهاب بل المطالبة باتخاذ اجراءات تجنب المدنيين ويلات التصنيف الذي يستحقه الحوثيين الذين جعلوا من الشعب رهينة. الدعوة لرفع اسمهم تدخل سياسي سافر ووقح لأن المجموعة لم تجرؤ على إنكار ممارستهم للإرهاب.
يتعامل فريق مجموعة الأزمات الدولية مع اليمنيين وكأنه مجموعة حيوانات تستحق أن يحكمها جهلة ومتخلفون مثل الحوثيين، ولو عاش أي من أعضاء الفريق في مناطق الحوثيين أو تم تفجير منزله بالديناميت أو قتل الحوثيون أوروبيًا واحدًا لقالوا عنهم إرهابيين ألف مرة، لكن لأن ضحاياهم يمنيين فلا مشكلة.
التقرير الصادر عن مجموعة الأزمات الدولية وصمة عار وفضيحة كبرى للمجموعة والباحثين فيها. فدعوتهم لعدم وصف الحوثيين بالإرهاب كمن يدعو لعدم توجيه تهمة لقاتل مع وجود الأدلة لأن هذا القاتل يحتجز رهائن وتوجيه التهمة له قد يدفعه لذبح المزيد منهم، سحقًا لمجموعة نترزق من دماء الأبرياء.

Yemeni politician and writer Ali Albukhaiti has slammed the International Crisis Group for its report that calls on U.S. elect President Joe Biden to reverse the designation of Houthis as a terrorist origination.

“The @CrisisGroup’s report that calls on @JoeBiden to reverse Houthi terror designation is so shockingly unprofessional that I thought it was a statement released by #Houthis. This shows how CSOs and research centers are shamefully biased. the Group failed to prove that #Houthi 1.”
“militia is not a terrorist organization. It focuses its claim on consequences civilians will face & at the same time says the U.S. administration can take mitigating steps to avoid the suffering of civilians, which means the designation can remain effective, given the fact that 2.”
“#Houthis do commit terrorist acts, such as blowing up homes. However, the @CrisisGroup’s main focus is on reversing the designation of Houthis as a terrorist group, not on how to avoid the suffering of people. The report has exposed the effect of friendships that Houthis have 3.”
