๐Ÿ”ฐAmong the causes of having worries disappear and sins forgiven is sending แนฃalฤh (supplications for peace) upon the Prophet ๏ทบ, and the effect of sending แนฃalฤh upon him on Friday is greatest.

๐Ÿ’ Ubayy ibn Kaสปb, may Allah be pleased with him, said,

๐Ÿ”ฐ"O Messenger of Allah, I frequently invoke the blessings of Allah upon you. How much of my supplications should I devote to you?"

๐Ÿ’ขHe, sallallaahu โ€˜alayhi wa sallam, said, "Whatever you wish." I said, "A quarter?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "One half?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "Two thirds?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "Shall I devote all my supplication to (invoking blessings upon) you?"

๐Ÿ’ฅHe said, "Then, you will be freed from your worry and your sin will be forgiven."

[At-Tirmithi: good-authentic; Al-Haakim in Al-Mustadrak]

๐Ÿ’ Anas bin Maalik (radhi Allaahu anhu) said:  Verily the Prophet (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

๐Ÿ’ฅWhoever sends Salah upon me once Allah will send ten (blessings) upon him and remove ten of his sins and raise his rank by ten levels.

๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“‘Notes from 'Kitab as-Sawm' in 'Fath al-Bari'๐Ÿ“‘๐Ÿ“š

โ–โ The Time Between Suhur and Fajr

โ Anas (Rady'Allahu Anhu) reported that Zayd bin Thabit said: "We had suhur with the Prophet(Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam), and he then got up to pray." Anas then asked: "How much time was there between the adhan and the suhur?" He answered: "Fifty verses."

โ In 'Fath al-Bari' (4/164), Ibn Hajar made the following points on this hadith:

โ al-Muhallab and others said: "Shown in this narration is the fact that they would measure time with physical actions, and the Arabs would measure time with actions, such as their saying that such-and-such took the same amount of time that it would take to milk a sheep, or the amount of time it would take to slaughter a camel.

โ So, Zayd bin Thabit similarly estimated the time using the recitation of the Qur'an, indicating that this time was used for the worship of reciting the Qur'an."

โ Ibn Abi Jamrah said: "This is in indication that they would spend their time engrossed in worship."

โ In it is also an indication that the suhur is to be delayed, as this serves the purpose of the suhur.

โ Ibn Abi Jamrah said: "The Prophet (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) would look to that which was easiest for his people, and would do that. This is because if he did not have suhur, they would have imitated him in this, and that would be too hard upon them.

โ And if he were to have taken suhur in the middle of the night, this would also have been hard upon those who are heavy sleepers..."

โ He also said: "And in it is the virtuous one honoring others by having them eat with him, as well as the permissibility of walking at night if there is a need to do so, as Zayd bin Thabit did not live with the Prophet.

โ In it is they would gather to eat suhur together. In it is the best manner of addressing another when making a point, due to Zayd's saying:

โ "We had suhur with the Prophet...," and he did not say: "We and the Prophet had suhur...," and this is due to his realization that his use of the word 'with' would show that they were his followers."

โ al-Qurtubi said: "In it is a proof that they would finish up their suhur before the time of Fajr."
๐Ÿ’ Abdullaah ibn โ€˜Umar (ุฑุถูŠ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู†ู‡ู…ุง) said:

๐Ÿ•‹โ›“๏ธ โ€œThe fortitude of the religion and what it is built upon is the Salaat and Zakaat, one should not differentiate between the two of them, also the pilgrimage to Al Bayt Al Haraam and fasting Ramadaan.

[Al-Wฤbil As-Sayyib 104]
๐Ÿ’ข Ibn Rajab reported: Some of the righteous predecessors were asked,

๐Ÿ’ขโ€œWhy has fasting been instituted?โ€

๐Ÿ’ข They said,

โ€ผ๏ธEating to Fast [not Fasting to Eat]:

๐Ÿ”ฐIt is reported that once, some good food was served to Anas [Ibn Mฤlik] โ€“ Allฤh be pleased with him, and [the person who served the food] was well off enough to afford good food. As he was eating, he kept a morsel of the food in his mouth for a while, then looked at the people and began to cry.

๐Ÿ’ข Then he said, โ€œBy Allฤh, I have accompanied people who, if they could get hold of this kind of food, would have fasted even more often, and spent less time not fasting.

โ€ผ๏ธOne of them would find only milk mixed with water [as food], which he would drink and then fast on.โ€

[Al-Muโ€™ฤfฤ b. โ€˜Imrฤn, Kitฤb Al-Zuhd article 215]

๐ŸŽคlet's count the enormous blessings from Allah subhanahu wa taala during the month of Ramadan, Alhamdulillah many of us provided good provisions yet we show our gratitude to Allah very little!
โœ๏ธIt was narrated from Talhah bin `Ubaidullah (Rady'Allahu anhu) that Two men came to the Messenger of Allah (๏ทบ) and they both became Muslim, but one of them strove harder in worship than his companion.

๐Ÿ’ขThe one who strove hard in worship went out on a military campaign and was martyred. The other one remained for a year after that, then he died. Talhah (Rady'Allahu anhu) said:

๐Ÿ’ฅโ€œI saw in a dream that I was at the gate of Paradise, and I saw them both. Someone had come out from Paradise and he gave permission to the one who died last (to enter); then he came out and gave permission to the one who had been martyred. Then they both came back to me and said to me: Go back, for your time has not yet come.โ€

โ€ผ๏ธThe next morning, Talhah (Rady'Allahu anhu) told the people about that and they were amazed by it. News of that reached the Messenger of Allah (๏ทบ) and he said:

๐Ÿ”ฐโ€œWhy are you amazed?` They said: โ€œO Messenger of Allah, this one strove harder in worship and then was martyred for the sake of Allah, but the other one entered Paradise before him?โ€ He said: `Did he not remain for a year after (the other one) died?โ€ They said: โ€œYes.โ€ He said:

๐Ÿ’ฅโ€œDid he not live until Ramadan came and fast it?โ€ They said: โ€œYes.โ€ He said: Did he not pray this many rak`ahs during that year? They said: โ€œYes.โ€ The Messenger of Allah (๏ทบ) said: โ€œVerily, the distance between them is the distance between heaven and earth.โ€

๐ŸŒ™โ™จ๏ธFASTING IN EXTREME HEATโ™จ๏ธ๐ŸŒ™

โ–โ Saโ€™eed b. Jubayr, the famous scholar and righteous person, said:

โ When สฟAbdullฤh b. สฟUmar (raแธiy Allฤhu สฟanhu) was near death he said:

โ โ€œI have not left anything behind from this world that I am grieved to leave behind other than the thirst of the midday heat (due to fasting) and walking to attend the prayer.โ€โ

[Ibn Abi Shaybah | vol.7, p.230]
๐Ÿ•Œ Going to the masjid when fasting:

๐Ÿ’  Abul-Mutawakkil Al-Nฤjฤซ reports:

๐Ÿ”ฐWhen Abลซ Hurayrah (Rady'Allahu anhu) and his companions fasted, they would sit in the masjid and say, โ€œlet us purify our fast.โ€

[Hunฤd b. Al-Sarฤซ, Kitฤb Al-Zuhd, article 1207]
โ€ผ๏ธAl Walฤ wal Barฤ (love and hate for the sake of Allah) are key characteristics of every believer in Tawhฤซd.โ€ผ๏ธ

๐Ÿ’ Ibn Abbas (Rady'Allahu anhu) reported to have said:

๐Ÿ”ฐ"Whoever loves for the sake of Allah, and hates for the sake of Allah, and whoever seals a friendship for His sake, or declares an enmity for His sake, will receive, because of this, the protection of Allah.

โ™จ๏ธNo one may taste true faith except by this, even if his prayers and fasts are many. People have come to build their relationships around the concerns of the world, but it will not benefit them in any way.

[Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali, Jami' al-Ulum wal Hikam, p.30]
๐Ÿ’ฅThree Acts Whose Rewards Are Beyond Measure

๐Ÿ’ Some deeds are so immense in their virtue that Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) has not specified their reward, leaving it openโ€”without limitsโ€”due to their greatness. These acts are not only means of immense blessings but also reflect the highest levels of faith and character.

1๏ธโƒฃ Pardoning Others

Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) says in the Qurโ€™an:

‎ููŽู…ูŽู†ู’ ุนูŽููŽุง ูˆูŽุฃูŽุตู’ู„ูŽุญูŽ ููŽุฃูŽุฌู’ุฑูู‡ู ุนูŽู„ูŽู‰ ุงู„ู„ูŽู‘ู‡ู

โ€œBut whoever pardons and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah.โ€ [Qurโ€™an 42:40]

๐Ÿ’ขTo forgive when one has the right to retaliate is a sign of true strength. When we pardon others for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa taala , we entrust our reward to Him aloneโ€”and what He gives in return is beyond human comprehension. The Prophet ๏ทบ, despite facing immense harm, forgave even his greatest enemies, teaching us that forgiveness elevates the soul and brings divine mercy.

2๏ธโƒฃ Patience (Sabr)

Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) promises:

โ€œIndeed, the patient will be given their reward without account.โ€ [Qurโ€™an 39:10]

๐ŸƒPatience in hardship, patience in obedience, and patience in refraining from sinโ€”each form of sabr carries immeasurable rewards. Trials in life are inevitable, but enduring them with faith brings a reward so vast that only Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) knows its true magnitude. It is a trait of the Prophets and the righteous, a means to elevation in this life and the next.

3๏ธโƒฃ Fasting (Sawm)

In a Hadith Qudsi, Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) declares:

๐Ÿ’ โ€œEvery act of the son of Adam is for him, except fasting, which is exclusively for Me, and I will reward him for it.โ€ [Bukhari & Muslim]

๐Ÿ”ฐUnlike other deeds, fasting is an act of worship known only between the servant and his Lord. It cultivates sincerity, self-discipline, and a deep connection with Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) . Because of its purity, Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) has kept its reward hiddenโ€”reserved for the Day when He will bestow His limitless generosity upon those who fasted for His sake.

๐Ÿ’ฅA Call to Attain the Greatest Rewards

๐Ÿ’ขIf we seek an unlimited reward from Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala), let us embody these virtues:

๐Ÿ’ Forgive, even when we have the right to retaliate.
๐Ÿ’ Be patient, knowing that trials are temporary, but Allahโ€™s reward is eternal.
๐Ÿ’ Fast, not only from food but from sins, distractions, and heedlessness.

Allah subhanahu wa taala grant us sincerity in our deeds and make us among those whose rewards are beyond measure during this month of Ramadan Ameen!
