🔰Among the causes of having worries disappear and sins forgiven is sending ṣalāh (supplications for peace) upon the Prophet ﷺ, and the effect of sending ṣalāh upon him on Friday is greatest.

💠Ubayy ibn Kaʻb, may Allah be pleased with him, said,

🔰"O Messenger of Allah, I frequently invoke the blessings of Allah upon you. How much of my supplications should I devote to you?"

💢He, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said, "Whatever you wish." I said, "A quarter?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "One half?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "Two thirds?" He said, "Whatever you wish, and if you do more, it is better for you." I said, "Shall I devote all my supplication to (invoking blessings upon) you?"

💥He said, "Then, you will be freed from your worry and your sin will be forgiven."

[At-Tirmithi: good-authentic; Al-Haakim in Al-Mustadrak]

💠Anas bin Maalik (radhi Allaahu anhu) said:  Verily the Prophet (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

💥Whoever sends Salah upon me once Allah will send ten (blessings) upon him and remove ten of his sins and raise his rank by ten levels.

[Imam Ahmad in his Musnad, Imam Bukharee in Adabul Mufrad #642 and #643. Jami Sagheer #6359 authenticated by Al Abaanee]

💠“Truly Allah and His angels say Salah on the Prophet, O you believers, recite Salah on him and send Salam on him completely.” [Al-Ahzab | C.33: A.56]

💠 Ibn Abbas (Rady'Allahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said,

‼️"Whoever forgets to send blessings upon me, he has missed a path to Paradise."

💠Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) talked about Friday and said,

💥"There is an hour (opportune time) on Friday and if a Muslim gets it while praying and asks something from Allah, then Allah will definitely meet his demand."

🔰And he (the Prophetﷺ) pointed out the shortness of that time with his hands.

[Sahih al-Bukhari 935]
💥Aqidatu's-Salaf Ashabu'l-Hadith

💢 Part : 6

🔰Chapter 7- The Position of the Salaf (Regarding These Narrations)

💠72- Yazid ibn Harun related in a meeting a Hadith of Ismail ibn Abi Khaalid, from Qais ibn Abi Haazim, from Jarir ibn Abd-Allah (Rady'Allahu anhu), that RasulAllah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) said:

🍃“Indeed you will see your Lord, like you see the full moon.” [Ibn Khuzaimah, Kitaabu't-Tawhid, 1/407-411]

‼️So a man in the meeting said to him: ‘O Abu Khaalid, what is the meaning of this Hadith?’ Yazid ibn Harun became upset and replied:

♨️“You remind me of Sabigh (a man who was punished for questioning ambiguous matters), and you deserve the same treatment. Woe to you! Who can go beyond what this hadith says or interpret it based on personal opinion? Only someone who mocks himself and his religion would do so. When you hear a hadith from the Prophet ﷺ, follow it without adding anything new. If you accept it as it is, you will be safe. But if you argue about it, you will be ruined.”

⭕️73- The story of Sabigh which Yazid ibn Haarun referred to when he said: “How great is your resemblance to Sabigh and how great is your need for that which was done to him.” It is related by Yahya ibn Sa’ed from Sa’ed ibn al-Musayyab: That Sabigh at-Tamimi came to the chief of believers, Umar ibn al-Khattab (Rady'Allahu anhu), and said:

🔰‘O chief of the believers, tell me about the ayah: “The Dhaariyaat that scatter dust” He replied: “It is the winds and if I had not heard RasulAllah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) say so, I would not have said it.” Sabigh said: ‘So tell me about the ayah: “And they bear the heavey weight of water.” He replied: “It means the clouds, and If I had not heard RasulAllah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) say so, I would not have said it.”

💠Sabigh said: “So tell me about the ayah: “And those who distribute by command.” He replied: “It means the Angels, and If I had not heard RasulAllah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam), say so, I would not have said it.” Sabigh said: “So tell me about the ayah: “And those which float with ease.” He replied: “It means the ships, and If I had not heard RasulAllah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) say so, I would not have said it.”

💥Then Umar (Rady'Allahu anhu) ordered the man to be whipped one hundred times. Then he was confined to a room. When he had recovered, he was called for and he was whipped again one hundred times until he was carried away on a saddle. Then Umar (Rady'Allahu anhu) wrote to Abu Musa al-Ash’ari (Rady'Allahu anhu) stating that he (i.e., Sabigh) was to be prevented from attending the meetings of the people.

💢That remained the case, until Sabigh came to Abu Musa (Rady'Allahu anhu) and swore that there was not anything in him now from what was in him before. So Abu Musa (Rady'Allahu anhu) wrote to Umar (Rady'Allahu anhu), who replied: I think that he has indeed spoken the truth so let him be with the people.

[Bazzaar, 299; Ibn Kathir, Tafsir, 7/390; Ibh Hajar, al-Isaabah 2/199. Aajuri says in ash-Shari'ah p.74]

🍃 “The man was whipped because he used to seek the interpretation of the unclear ayaha of the Qur'an (the mutashaabih) and he used to busy himself with knowledge which was not beneficial.”

💠Anas ibn Mālik (رضي الله عنه):

كان المسلمون إذا دخل شعبان انكبّوا على المصاحف، فقرؤوها، وأخرجوا زكاة أموالهم تقويةً للضعيف والمسكين على صيام رمضان.

🔰"When Sha'bān began, the Muslims would devote themselves to the Muṣḥaf and recite it, and they would give out the Zakāh of their wealth to strengthen the weak and the needy for fasting in Ramaḍān."

[Laṭā'if al-Ma'ārif | 1/135]
🔰Fasting all or most of Sha'baan

💢One of the tradition We have a lot, is that we prepare for Ramadan at the last minute, and this is a complete deviation from the path of the Sahabah and the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) , because they were aware and alert to the upcoming month of ‘Ibādah and preparing themselves from well before, they had an increase in their worship, were conscious to know what was upcoming and required of them they used to start preparation like fasting even from the month of shaa'ban:

💠From Usamah Bin Zayd (Rady'Allahu Anhu) that he said:

💢“I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) , I do not see you fasting in any month more than in Sha’baan.’ He said, ‘That is a month concerning which many people are heedless, between Rajab and Ramadaan. It is the month is which people’s deeds are taken up to the Lord of the Worlds, and I would like my deeds to be taken up whilst I am fasting.’”

[Hasan. Reported by Ahmad (5/201)]

🔰Muslim (1156) narrated that Abu Salamah (Rady'Allahu Anha) said: “I asked ‘A’ishah (Rady'Allahu Anha) about the fasting of the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam), and she said:

💠‘He used to fast until we thought that he would always fast, then he would not fast until we thought that he would always not fast, but I never saw him fast in any month more than he fasted in Sha’baan. He used to fast all of Sha’baan, and he used to fast all of Sha’baan apart from a few days.’”

🔰Ahmad (26022), Abu Dawud (2336), al-Nasaa’i (2175) and Ibn Maajah (1648) narrated that Umm Salamah (Rady'Allahu Anha) said:

💢“I never saw the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) fast two consecutive months apart from the fact that he used to join Sha’baan and Ramadaan.”

💠Al-Haafiz hajar Asqalani said: The Hadith of ‘A’ishah (Rady'Allahu Anha) explains what was said in the Hadith of Umm Salamah, which says that he did fast any month of the year in full apart from Sha’baan which he used to join to Ramadaan; this means that he used to fast most of it.

💢Al-Tirmidhi narrated that Ibn al-Mubaarak said: It is possible in the language of the Arabs, if a person fasts most of a month, to say that he fasted the whole month…

💥Healing the Soul:

♨️Sins leave scars on the soul, leading to a loss of blessings, decreased provision, anxiety, depression, and an overall sense of emptiness. A heart weighed down by sin cannot find true peace.

🔰The only cure for a soul burdened by wrongdoing is Istighfar (seeking forgiveness) and Tawbah (sincere repentance). These are not new concepts nor reserved for a select few--all the Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them) practiced them throughout their lives. Even they were not exempt from seeking Allah's mercy.

💠When Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) made a mistake, he turned to Allah with sincere repentance, and Allah forgave him. He and his wife supplicated:

"Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers."

[Surah Al-A'raf 7:23]

💥No matter how many mistakes we make, the door to Allah's forgiveness is always open. Istighfar and Tawbah bring healing, mercy, and renewal to the heart.

💥Whenever the month of Shaban would begin, Habeeb ibn Abi Thaabit رحمه الله used to say,

📖"This is the month of the reciters of the Quran"

[Al Lataaif al Ma'arif Pg. 258-259]
💢Are deeds presented to Allah in Sha`ban?

The Sunnah also indicates that the good deeds of each year are taken up to Allah all at once in the month of Sha`ban .

💠An-Nasa’i [1257] narrated that Usamah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, I do not see you fasting as much in any month as you fast in Sha`ban . He (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) said: “That is a month concerning which the people are heedless, between Rajab and Ramadan, but it is a month in which good deeds are taken up to the Lord of the Worlds, and I would like my deeds to be taken up when I am fasting.” [Classed as sound by Al-Albani in Sahih Al-Jami`]

🔰These texts may be summed up by noting that people’s deeds are shown to Allah in three ways:

1️⃣ Daily, which happens twice a day
2️⃣Weekly, which also happens twice, on Mondays and Thursdays
3️⃣Annually, which happens once, during the month of Sha`ban

💠Ibn Al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “The deeds of the year are taken up in Sha`ban, as the truthful one (the Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) has told us.

💥The deeds of the week are shown on Monday and Thursday, the deeds of the day are taken up at the end of the day before night comes, and the deeds of the night are taken up at the end of the night, before day comes. When a person’s life comes to an end, all his life’s deeds are taken up and the record of his deeds is closed.” [Hashiyat Sunan Abu Dawud]

💢The Hadiths which indicate that deeds are shown to Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) indicate that it is encouraged to do more deeds of obedience at the times when the deeds are being shown to Him, as the Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) said concerning fasting in Sha`ban: “I would like my deeds to be taken up when I am fasting.”

💠In Sunan At-Tirmidhi (747) it is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) said:

💥“Deeds are shown (to Allah) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I would like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting.” [Classed as authentic by Al-Albani in Irwa’ Al-Ghalil (949]

🔰One of the Tabi`in (the generation after the Companions) used to weep in front of his wife on Thursdays and she would weep in front of him, and he would say: Today our deeds are being shown to Allah, may He be Glorified and Exalted. [This was mentioned by Ibn Rajab in Lata’if Al-Ma`arif]
