Diana Mutheu - Swift Introduction to Keras NLP

Diana is an Associate Data Scientist at Roche. As an associate, she supports a Post Doctorate Data Scientist in a project to Predict Cardiac Adverse Events using Machine Learning Algorithms and Electronic Health Records Data. 

Before this, Diana worked with healthcare start-ups on AI projects to find a correlation between symptoms, triggers and Morbidity for Hashimoto’s disease and another building predictive models using EMG signals and patient data to detect and predict painful behaviours for lateral elbow patients.

Robert John - Keras & TensorFlow Decision Forests

Robert has worked with databases and developed enterprise software for over a decade. He currently works with all things data, from engineering to visualization and Machine Learning. He recently started working with embedded systems and TinyML and is eager to see the widespread adoption of embedded systems in Africa.

He contributes to the developer ecosystem by speaking at events, hosting meetups, code labs, and tutorials. He also writes articles on Hackster.io, Medium, and his personal blog about data visualization, ML, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). He is a mentor at the Google for Startups Africa Accelerator program and is a co-organizer of the GDG Cloud developer community in Kaduna, Nigeria.

Ngesa Marvin - Keras for the Curious & Creative

Ngesa is an Engineering Manager / Machine Learning Engineer specialising in signal and image processing, specifically in the field of computer vision. 

He started his Cloud ML journey as an Intel AI Innovator and later joined Liquid Telecom as an IoT Solutions Engineer. He is currently a Device Manager – Cloud Data & AI at Safaricom PLC and an Arm AI Ambassador. When not building products, he loves to teach and share knowledge with others. He believes ML education should be free and accessible to all.

Lately he's been working on sensor data analysis from IoT devices to help manage Device lifecycles and drive the right customer experience. He founded Nairobi AI and leads Machine Learning efforts in communities such as GDG Nairobi and Tiny ML Kenya.
