Google Africa Developer Scholarship program is back again!

We just launched another round of the Google Africa Developer Scholarship program in partnership with Pluralsight and Andela. This program is aimed at helping aspiring developers to kick start their journey in tech and existing developers to further advance their knowledge and skills in Android, Google Cloud, and Mobile Web technologies.
We will be offering 30,000 additional scholarship opportunities and 1,000 grants for the Google Associate Android Developer and Associate Cloud Engineer certifications.

Google is looking for students to be leaders on campus for the Developer Student Clubs program.

DSCs are university based community groups for students interested in Google developer technologies. Students from all undergraduate or graduate programs with an interest in growing as a developer are welcome! By joining a DSC, students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their community.

To open a DSC chapter at a university, students may fill in the interest form to be a lead at : goo.gle/dsc-leads.

Interest forms close May 15th, 2020 at 11:59pm, PST.

Our goal is to create a culture of deliberate practice, collaboration and real-world problem solving within the Ethiopian software developer community. CodeNight is open to individuals and groups of all skill levels across the country.

We have expanded the duration of CodeNight from 2 days(weekend) to 1 week upon request from our audience to have more time to work on their project

Dubai Chamber’s Ethiopia office in partnership with the Annual Investment Meeting an initiative of the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Economy is organizing “Aim Startup Virtual Pitch Competition”.

Startups that have achieved growth, social impact, best use of innovation, climate and environmental impact, privacy, data protection and compliance are invited to apply and will get the opportunity to showcase their business concepts and compete for global exposure.

The competition, scheduled for September 24, 2020, is also supported by Dubai Startup Hub (DSH), an initiative of Dubai Chamber that supports entrepreneurs through a series of programs, workshops, trainings, marketing, promotion, and advocacy efforts, as well as MiNT and EDC. A promising 10 startups will be selected to participate in the pitch competition.
