To change your default folder, press and hold a folder in your chat list > Reorder > and drag your preferred folder to the first space. Owners of public groups can enable join requests via Group Info > Edit > Group Type > Who Can Send Messages > select Only Members > enable Approve New Members. The platform supports two types of channels: public and private. The former can be found in search, and anyone can join them, whereas the latter can be joined only via invitation links.

You will have largely the same experience as with more popular messaging apps, with greater peace of mind.
