| #mufc will pay the £62.5m fee for Matheus Cunha in three instalments over a two-year period.

The first instalment of £20.8m will be paid upon purchase, the second instalment at the end of next season and the final amount due in the summer of 2027.

United among as many as 4 clubs who believe they have basic outline of agreement for Delap, and expect a decision this week. Don’t believe there’s been any final communication to indicate a direction, but earlier discussions led some clubs to believe CL would “help” their case.

United have made contact with the camp of Mbeumo, and maintain a concrete interest in the player. Sources indicate that there is work to be done to convince the player, given the clubs position and other competition with CL to offer. The sale of Garnacho or others is likely to be key. With the budget set to go towards a striker, should United fail this could be a deal they push for to beat competition. Alternatives for the role are and have been looked at.

The keeper situation remains very much in play. A move away for Onana is seen as more difficult, in part due to remaining costs and wages, while Bayindir returning to Turkey or elsewhere for more play time is possible. Onana is still a popular figure at United, and Saudi interest has yet to really be concrete.

Lammens and Vanja MS are two well established targets representing what United want: A top shot stopper who can claim crosses to provide competition for the #1.

Both expected to be fairly affordable but a departure is likely necessary.

Gyokeres and Mateta both remain strong options at ST. More expensive but more “ready”.

In the case of Gyokeres, securing CL would likely have put United in the drivers seat. As it is they remain interested, with the player expected to discuss with interested parties soon.

Alternatives for the “third” forward, or the right 10, following the signing of Cunha, include Tyler Dibling and Franco Mastantuono. Both difficult deals, due to cost, competition, and the need to convince the player.

Other options certainly exist, but these are the highest potential players being followed by United.

As it is, I have no info to support a move for Cherki, but it is expected to cost 40m+ higher than original rumors.

United fully intend to sign an athletic, physically robust midfielder in the market. However, the exact position of the midfielder is still unclear from my side. Ederson & Wharton represent 2 very different midfielders United have been tracking for over 12 months.

Additional links to more affordable defensive mids like Stach have been made.

Original understanding was Ederson would be the ideal fit and target for this summer. Purchases in the forward line and departures could have a significant effect.

Casemiro will be difficult to move, but United would like to do so to free up spending for the midfield.

The club would prefer Kobbie to stay, and work his way into the team, his talent is undeniable. His decision and desire is key.

Same goes for Bruno Fernandes, weighing up a mega offer from Saudi and potentially more from European clubs. He and the club are giving it thought. Should he choose to depart the club will be handed the ability to invest heavily in the rebuild and it will surely change the nature of their additional targets and midfield.[Muppetiers]

🚨 | Patrice Evra on Zirkzee

“Bro's that guy who looks like he’s jogging through a match... then casually ruins defenders lives. He’s not a target man, he’s a vibe. You could sign Osimhen, Cunha and Mbeumo ..maybe even prime Drogba, Zirkzee still cooks.

Cunha sees himself as a protagonist and will relish the pressure of being United’s number 10.
