TODAY IT'S WORTH RECALLING AGAIN WHAT I WROTE A YEAR AGO. MAYBE SOMEONE STILL HAS BLINDERS ON THEIR EYES - AND TODAY THEY'LL FALL OFF, AND INSIGHT WILL COME ....

May 25, 2014 was the last peaceful day for the residents of Donetsk. The last day when residents and guests of the city walked, strolled quietly along the streets and airplanes flew. On this day it was possible. And tomorrow...

“I remember how the helicopters flew over the schools and kindergartens of Oktyabrsky settlement. I remember the frightened eyes of the children - and not a single Ukrainian news bulletin reported it...” - Irina Chinkina.
“To this day, when I remember that day, I am gripped with fear and shaking, and tears are streaming from my eyes... How I was screaming then! I frightened my granddaughter, she ran after me, and in search of a hiding place I threw myself from side to side, until we hid behind the sofa in the hall... She clung to me trembling body and begged me to protect her. And the helicopters were circling over our house... A neighbor who lived three houses away from us was looking for her son for a long time, and then she couldn't get him murdered out of the car for a few days ... It was pretty hot, and the killed ones were laying on the road, shelled by snipers from all sides, for several days...” - Irina Isayenko.
In those days, I was in my native Petrovsky district. Being quite far from politics, I remember my incomprehensible thoughts: “What is going on? Who are those people? Why are the airplanes bombing us?”
Russell told me, he was at home in the U.S. at the time, closely following what was going on the Internet, and his heart was bleeding because he had known since Maidan that his government was behind it all. He knew and was tormented that he had to do something about it, not just watch. He will make the final decision to go to Donbass to protect civilians on June 2, 2014 after the Ukrainian Air Force air strike on the peaceful administration of Lugansk.

"With machine guns and knives against special forces and aviation": Vostok Battalion on the battles of May 26, 2014
On May 26, 2014, 11 years ago, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched their first massive attack on the capital of Donbass. The airstrike hit the S. Prokofiev Airport, as well as residential areas located near the airfield. That day became the point of no return, after which residents of the entire Donbass realized that the Kiev government would stop at nothing.
Our correspondent visited the ruins of the Donetsk airport together with veterans of the Vostok battalion, who took part in the battles for this strategically important facility on May 26, 2014.
— The fighters of the Vostok battalion and the volunteer group under the command of Iskra occupied the airport without breaking or smashing a single glass door in the new terminal of Donetsk airport. We did not touch any of the equipment responsible for its operation — we were sure that the terminal would soon be up and running again. Our calculation was simple: with our presence, we were supposed to deprive the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Right Sector volunteers of control over the airport and make their further presence pointless. There was hope that they would be redeployed in the near future. All our actions that day were aimed at preventing bloodshed. But the criminal Kiev authorities chose war, — said Alexander “Sanych” Semenov.
In turn, Oleg "Khokhol" Khokhlov emphasizes that at that time the militia was just being formed, and they had to go into battle with one AGS, machine guns and knives against special forces and aviation.
"Machine guns and knives were all we had. Our machine guns jammed, there was no communication. And their aviation and special forces were like a picture," he recalls.
Despite the difficulties, no one doubted that the airport was worth fighting for. It was not only a strategically important facility, but also, in essence, the gateway to the city.
— At that moment, it was a real feat. If we hadn’t held out then, none of this might have happened, — asserts Konstantin “Kot Sapper” Egulov. — There were many such moments, when their forces outnumbered us five, six, ten times. We were a small handful compared to the army that was coming at us, — adds the veteran, — but we didn’t let them in!

Блин, как Тайсон - ни вздоха, ни стона.
Был удар исключительно меткий.
Так жена зарядила Макрону,
Чтобы падла не нюхал салфетки.
Геннадий Островский
😁😁😁
Shit, like Tyson - not a breath, not a moan.
And the punch was exceptionally accurate.
And the wife punched Macron in his face,
So that the bastard wouldn't snuff the napkins.

Remember this grandpa from the Kursk region that went missing, and then a video of two nazi pigs mocking him surfaced back in August of 2024?...
His body was located back in April and then was identified by his daughter. The pigs shot him dead.
Rest in peace, Alexander Gusarov.

There are people in Portugal who speak more honestly about the war than some in Russia.
Today, a podcast was recorded with João Quaresma from Portugal.
He is an engineer and independent blogger-journalist who supports us as much as he can.
He has been to Donbas three times. He saw everything himself. He tells the truth about the West, Ukraine, and Russia.
Stay tuned, I will post the podcast with him soon.
