…Recently, I wrote a critical post about Telegram. There are still many questions I would like to ask Pavel Durov, the company's founder.

However, now Pavel has been arrested by French gendarmes (or special services?) as if he were a terrorist like "Ilyich" Ramirez Sanchez. What is Pavel Durov's crime? Could it be that Telegram is also used by criminals? But don't they use Apple phones, for example? Many people know about Apple's "quarrel" with the FBI. The FBI paid almost a million dollars to an Australian company to hack the San Bernardino shooter's phone because Apple couldn't help them. Apple has refused to assist US intelligence agencies in other cases as well. At home in America, no charges were brought against Apple's CEO, Tim Cook.

He would not have been charged by the French either: they would have remembered Condoleezza Rice's famous statement - "punish France" (regarding France's disagreement with the Iraq war). And if Cook had been detained in Paris, they would have poured Beaujolais on the streets in American cities, as they did during the Iraq War. In front of the French Embassy in Moscow, ​​people launched paper airplanes - the symbol of Telegram - but they all nose-dived into the grass. The photo reminded me of Willy Tokarev's song:

Du Rove is Pavel Durov's Telegram nick. To rove in English means "to wander without a definite direction”, like tumbleweeds.

Pavel will now realise that he is not Du Rove, but Durov. That, it turns out, the DGSE is not “better” than the FSB (but, apparently, worse), that France, as the saying goes, only makes a soft bed, but makes it hard to sleep in, and Russia – often – the other way around.

Pavel must now feel that his Motherland, Russia, isn't abandoning her own. Even if they acquire other names (and passports), but like Pavel Durov, do not cancel their Motherland, even when the government is wrong, when the country is not perfect, etc. I have never heard Pavel say anything unkind about Russia. Therefore, she, as well as all of us, must be supportive of him at this time.
