⏰The Present Perfect Tense ( Imperfect Past)
♦️Preceding Action

γ€°οΈγ€°οΈγ€°οΈπŸ”·πŸ”΅πŸ”·πŸ”΅πŸ”·γ€°οΈγ€°οΈγ€°οΈ

1️⃣ This tense is a mixture of present and past. At the time of speaking the action is already complete in the past.
It always implies a strong connection with the present though action took place in the past.

πŸ“š Generally, the following adverbs and conjunctions are used to express the preceding action. πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

'Ever, just, recently, already, yet, till(time), so far, of late, lately, before, (by) by the time, after' etc.

πŸ”ΊNOTE:

πŸ”†β€™just' is used in the sense of 'already'. Other meanings of just are 'now' and 'exactly'

πŸ”† β€˜Ever’ means β€˜anytime in the past’ and β€˜always’.

πŸ”† β€˜so far, yet, till β€˜ means β€˜up to now’, up to this.

πŸ”† Of lately, lately. ( recently, used only in Present Perfect Tense)

πŸ“˜For Example

πŸ’’ I have just seen that film.

πŸ’’ I have already had my breakfast.

▫️◾️▫️◾️▫️◾️▫️◾️▫️◾️▫️

2️⃣ Present Perfect + Point of time = Simple Past.

The point of time in the past indicates that action took place at a point in the past.

The point of time in the past is expressed by β€˜since’, last, yesterday, the other day, ago, before, back, formerly,( any time in the past)

πŸ“˜For Example

❌ She has returned two days ago / before.

βœ… She returned two days ago.

▫️◾️▫️◾️▫️◾️▫️◾️▫️◾️▫️

3️⃣ Present Indefinite + Time expression = Present Perfect

This tense can also be used with β€˜since’,’ for β€˜,’ how long’,’ whole’, β€˜all’, β€˜throughout’, β€˜all along’, etc to express time expression.

πŸ“˜For Example

πŸ’’ He has known me for two years

πŸ’’ She has owned this parlor since 2002

Never regret being a good person to the wrong people.
Your behaviour says everything about you and their behaviour says enough about them.
