His journey started earlier as young age to join the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia and served as 3rd Secretary in various departments.
His tremendous dedication opened him another opportunities to serve as counselor in Ethiopian Embassies of Canada and Washington from 1990 to 1998. He was also served as director of press and information before he started serving his nation as an ambassador.
He was an ambassador started of Ethiopia in Harare Zimbabwe with accreditation to Malawi ,Zambia, Angola and Mozambique, to Norway, Finland ,Denmark and Iceland, to Kenya with accreditation to Tanzania and Cychelles, to Egypt.
Remarkably he has served MoFA for three terms as spokesperson.
