Reasons why LineageOS is slow at releasing new Android version
It is pretty much easy to realise that LineageOS always took months to officially release a new Android version. You will be asking yourself, other ROMs can do it in a matter of days or weeks, but why not LineageOS? I have a few answers in my mind regarding this question.
1. Stability
LineageOS aims for stability, and it takes quite some time to refine everything. They also have to bring all their extra features and make sure it works perfectly without issue on any device.
2. Branches
The LineageOS project preceded CyanogenMod 5 years ago. and they are still maintaining branches all the way back to CM 11.0 (Android 4.4).You will probably wonder why they are still doing it. As the ROM itself is lightweight, it could run on any basically low-end devices, various developers still continue building unofficial builds for them, hence the reason why they are maintaining it instead of deprecating altogether like other ROMs.
3. Apps
Unlike other ROMs, LineageOS themselves come with a set of their own applications, and they are still not giving up updating them. They could just bring it directly without updating them, sure, but they want to make sure the experience fits with the current Android version you are in. This is definitely a tough job for sure, which rarely other ROMs do so.
4. Volunteer
Remember, you get it for free without doing anything, and LineageOS is a volunteer project, not an actual job. Developers maintain it when they have the time, and everyone's life isn’t easy these days.
I only just gave a brief explanation for each section, but I hope you could understand the behind the scenes of the ROM. These are just my thoughts, there are probably other reasons than the one mentioned above. Anyway, it will come when they are ready, better late than never.

LineageOS 19.1 on the way
On April 17th, it is spotted there are several commit changes made which are related to the official release of LineageOS 19.1, interesting...
As I have posted earlier, experimental builds are now available for the 31 other devices which haven't received a LineageOS 19.1 experimental build yet. When all of these builds worked fine for those devices, the team will proceed to the final production release and make these builds available for end users. Experimental builds are meant for testing instead of daily driving, so keep in mind before you try it out.
This is just my wild guess, it isn't based on any information, but I am guessing May 1 will be the day. It could probably be released at an earlier or later date, who knows. Take this information as a grain of salt, anyway we will notify about you when it became official.

Basically, there's this guy impersonating Darthjabba9(orange fox developer) and is tricking people to erase their bootloader which is leading to brick their devices.
I have seen some people fbanning, gbanning these accounts which i don't think will help, what will actually help is being mature, staying aware of what's going on and referring to trusted sources for help.
Just don't follow everything a random ass dude says, use sources like XDA,YouTube, and Telegram groups which are under proper moderation for help.
Cordially, ben

Seamless OTA Update
Some of you probably used a lot of custom ROMs before, and you saw some ROMs include OTA update, but then sometimes you are forced to clean flash instead of updating from the updater, which is really annoying.
We know that the original stock ROM came with the device has proper OTA update support, because you don't need to wipe it once in its lifetime for most scenarios. It will be nice to see it in custom ROM too, and if you're wondering which one can do nearly on the same level, that'll be LineageOS.
Yeah, a lot of people actually skipped using the ROM due to it being "bland" (I wonder why people could still use stock Pixel ROM when they're nearly the same too). Some probably have give it a try but later switched in less than 24 hours time, and all of these people just missed the best part of the ROM, the seamless OTA update.
By the way, not everyone will get to see it though, as you'll need to have a device that have Seamless Update support, for example Google Pixel. If you've one and LineageOS officially supported your device, then congratulations, you get to experience the best OTA update out of any custom ROM ever.
When there's an update, you'll first get the option to download it, then later you can install it in the background, which is pretty much a normal behaviour on several ROMs. Next part is where most ROMs failed to do so, retaining the root access.
Some might argued stock ROM can't even do this, of course custom ROMs can't too, but then you're wrong. So apparently addon.d is doing the magic here, LineageOS Updater app has supported it back in 2018 and same for Magisk (v17) at that time, working together and it make everything very seamless, so you no longer need to root it manually again.
There are probably a few ROMs out there that have similar capabilities, but I don't know any other than LineageOS. Anyway if you saw something similar on other ROMs before, you could share your experience under this post. We'd like to hear your opinion.

LineageOS 19.1 Official Release
LineageOS
Hey people, guess what has arrived, the good ol' ROM LineageOS is ready to distribute official builds of Android 12L with the release of version 19.1.
Good news for most Pixel owners, Pixel 2 series and all the way till Pixel 5a are receiving the update. Pixel 1/XL will continue to receive LineageOS 18.1 official update though, better than nothing at least. Meanwhile for Pixel 6, there isn't a maintainer for the device yet, but you are welcome to be the one if you can, lol.
Besides Pixel devices, more than 40 devices from various manufacturers are getting the update too. Builds will be available for all supported devices over the week, so sit back and relax for the meantime while waiting for the update to arrive for your device. Nevertheless, better late than never.
*For more LineageOS related update, check out @Pixel1Updates, we've been doing it for quite some time.
