Belonging, Being and Becoming a Language Teacher Abroad: Negotiating Identity as an Expatiate Langauge Teacher

Guest Editors: Dr Vincent Greenier (American University of Sharjah, UAE) and Prof Gary Barkhuizen (University of Auckland, New Zealand)

Subthemes:
Examination of teacher experiences living/working abroad
Professional development/trajectory of expatriate teachers
Emotional issues related to teaching/settling in a foreign context
Cultural challenges/demands/expectations of transnational teachers
Examination of programmes that recruit foreign langauge teachers (such as JET in Japan)
Pedagogical and curricular adaptation and flexibility in teaching abroad contexts
Migration infrastructures and visa processes and their impact on languiage teachers abroad
any topic involving professional lives of expatriate language teachers

وقتی هوش هیجانی خود را توسعه می‌دهید:
• چالش‌های زندگی را با خرد و قدرت درونی مدیریت می‌کنید.
• به طور اصیل ارتباط برقرار می‌کنید.
• روابط معناداری می‌سازید.
• و الهام‌بخش تغییرات مثبت در دیگران می‌شوید.

اما همه‌چیز از یک انتخاب ساده آغاز می‌شود:
متوقف شدن. نفس کشیدن. تأمل کردن.
پاسخ دادن به جای واکنش نشان دادن.
احساسات شما پیام‌رسان‌اند.

شما نمی‌توانید انتخاب کنید چه اتفاقی برایتان رخ دهد،
