What’s the role of emotional intelligence in wellbeing? Emotions are signals that tell us “what’s up” in personal, relational, communal spheres…. When emotions are screaming, “ stop!!! Time to change” maybe we ought to listen?

AND emotions are not the boss! They’re advisors. Blindly obeying emotions is as bad as blindly ignoring… the opportunity is in turning into the data accurately… and assessing it carefully… then taking helpful* action.

* this is tricky bc often helpful in one area (Eg work) is unhelpful in another (Eg health) so this takes extra consideration = more EQ needed!!

In many educational systems, there persists a traditional separation between playing and learning, overlooking the immense potential of play as a powerful tool for education.

While children naturally learn best through play, formal education often compartmentalizes these activities, missing out on the holistic benefits that play offers for intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and language development.

Simply put, learning is a byproduct of connection building. So when children are engaging in play, they are tapping into all different domains of development, simultaneously, driving learning concepts home!
