India's merchandise exports may cross USD 500 bn this fiscal: Exporters

The country's merchandise exports are likely to cross USD 500 billion this fiscal due to healthy demand for domestic goods in key global markets, including the US, and benefits from trade pacts, according to exporters.

They said that other destinations like Russia would give a huge boost to the country's outbound shipments, particularly in the agri and food processing sectors

FIEO said they are targeting to take the shipments to USD 500 billion-510 billion during the current financial year.

Services exports are likely to reach around USD 390 billion in 2023-24 from USD 322.72 billion in 2022-23.

Together with goods and services, we are targeting exports of USD 900 billion this fiscal," FIEO Director General Ajay Sahai said.

How is BJP president Amit Shah as a person?

I put up some points about amit shah here and leave it to the reader to decide how is Amit Shah as a perosn.

Amit Shah does not wear Watch, because he believes that the culture of giving gifts in public life starts with watch and pen. And he decided to stop this culture.
Around 1985, Shah was contesting a college election. One day before the voting, his opponent was ahead in the race as most of the girls students' vote was with him. On the night before the day of voting, family of all the girls were called and told that there may be violence in the election tomorrow. Due to which family of the girls did not send them to vote and Shah won the election.
Once in MLA's election, Shah noticed that there were no posters of his opponent. So he asked his assosiates to stick the posters of his opponent. The reason behind this is the party workers will feel that his opponent is strong and then they will make full efforts.
Amit Shah turned his troubles into opportunity. Plenty of cases were filed against Shah, he had to leave Gujrat and stay in Delhi. A new place , unknown people, away from the family, court hearings all the time. If these things had happened to someone else, the person would have left politics. But Shah did not give up. He turned his problem of living in Delhi into an opportunity, used this time to understand the politics of Delhi, which helped him a lot after becoming president of BJP.

5. Amit Shah makes very few trips abroad. There are two reasons behind this, one is he doesn't want to waste his time, and second Shah belives that India has lot of places the world should see.

6. In personal life Shah's attitude is progressive. When it comes to his son's marriage, Shah supported intercast marriage and Shah's son Jay Shah has inter-cast marriage.


7. When Shah just became the chairman of Ahmedabad State Co- operative Bank in 2000, the bank was in a loss of 20 crores, within a year Shah's strategy led the bank to a profit of 6 crores.

8. Shah became the youngest national president of BJP at the age of 49.

9. Under Shah's leadership BJP started his membership campaign and became the largest party in the world.


10. Amit Shah has won all the elections he contested.

11. Shah is in the habit of writing journal, he says that it is for his own evaluation.

12. At the age of 13, Shah used to stick posters to campaign for Mani Ben Patel, daughter of Sardar Patel. Mani ben was fighting against the oppressive policies of Indira Gandhi.

13. While Modi ji was born in a lower middle class OBC family, Shah was born in a rich Vaishnav family in Mumbai.
