The number and quality of research publications a scientist has published in peer-reviewed journals is used by the scientific community to determine advancement and status. Scientists from developing countries, on the other hand, are at a disadvantage because they often have trouble publishing because they lack literature searching and writing skills and guidance in the data analysis and publication process. In an effort to develop such skills, we designed the
Literature Searching and Scientific Writing Workshop
to provide scientists with the skills and tools they need to conduct effective literature search, transform existing data into publishable material and increase the likelihood of a manuscript being accepted for publication in a reputable scientific journal in an effort to develop such skills.

✅ By the end of this workshop you will learn:
• How to find scientific literature
• The difference between various scientific sources
• About and how to use different databases
• How to find relevant search phrases and keywords
• How to plan and do a good literature search
• Effective writing concepts
• Using powerful, energetic verbs in your writing.
• How to build effective paragraphs by varying sentence structure
• Tips for making the writing process more straightforward, efficient, and well-organized.
• Reviews the sections of a scientific manuscript
