We said research is about finding a solution to a problem and today we will learn more about what research problem is , and how to define it .
A research problem, in general, refers to some difficulty which a researcher experiences in either a theoretical or practical situation and wants to obtain a solution for the
same .
Why we have to Defin research Problem ?
a problem clearly stated is a problem half-solved .The definition of a problem sets the direction of the study , reveals the methodology or procedure of the study & helps the researcher to control subjectivity
Sources of the research Problem
▪️To select a research problem, a researcher can consider some sources. Examples of these are:
• Personal experience of the researcher in the field.
• Literature review on a research topic.
• New innovations, changes, and developments in a given research area.
• Research contacts with experts in a given research area.
steps are to be followed in defining a problem:
• The researcher should have to develop a conceptual framework of the problem.
• Delimiting the elements of the problem.
• Classifying the elements in the homogeneous group.
• Locating the key-concepts in the conceptual framework.
• Evaluating the theoretical security of the problem.
• The final form of the statement can be given into verbal form to a conceptual framework
of the problem.
• Deciding the practical difficulty in conducting the study
قلنا إن البحث يتعلق بإيجاد حل لمشكلة ما ، واليوم سنتعلم المزيد حول ماهية مشكلة البحث وكيفية تعريفها.
تشير مشكلة البحث بشكل عام إلى بعض الصعوبات التي يواجهها الباحث في موقف نظري أو عملي ويريد الحصول على حل للمشكلة.
لماذا علينا تحديد مشكلة البحث؟
المشكلة الموضحة بوضوح هي مشكلة نصف محلولة. يحدد تعريف المشكلة اتجاه الدراسة ، ويكشف عن منهجية أو إجراءات الدراسة ويساعد الباحث على التحكم في الموضوعية.
مصادر مشكلة البحث
لتحديد مشكلة البحث ، يمكن للباحث النظر في بعض المصادر. ومن الأمثلة على ذلك:
• الخبرة الشخصية للباحث في المجال.
• مراجعة الأدبيات حول موضوع البحث.
• الابتكارات والتغييرات والتطورات الجديدة في مجال بحث معين.
• اتصالات البحث مع الخبراء في مجال بحث معين.
يجب اتباع الخطوات في تحديد المشكلة:
• يجب على الباحث تطوير إطار عمل مفاهيمي للمشكلة.

السرقة العلمية ( plagiarism) العدو الأخطر للبحث العلمي
وهي سرقة نصوص الآخرين و نسبتها إلى السارق وقد تترتب على ذلك اضرار وخيمة.
تعمل كبرى المجلات العلمية اليوم بمجهود جبار لمحاربة السرقة العلمية عن طريق وضع معايير محددة و مراجعة الأبحاث المستلمة مراجعة دقيق لتجنب نشر أي مادة علمية مسروقة.
ما لا يعرفه عدد كبير من الباحثين و الكتاب هو هذه المعايير ولا يقوم الباحث بفحص البحث للتحقق من وجود سرقة عملية و التي قد يقع فيها دون قصد مما يتسبب في رفض البحث في المجلة .

Scientists say they have made a breakthrough in the way breast cancer is treated by employing a targeted cancer medicine known as olaparib after chemotherapy, according to the British Independent on Friday, June 04, 2021.
According to a study that looked at the usage of olaparib early on, the medicine has a significant effect in reducing the likelihood of hereditary breast cancer returning or spreading when given to women after chemotherapy.
