Gareth Taylor: “This weekend is where you will see Jill back in the squad. That was our plan over the last few weeks. She is in full training and performing at a high level. To get her back on Sunday for some period of the game is testament to her and the medical team here.”

𝘽𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙆𝙄𝙉𝙂: Rodri is OUT for the rest of the season, Pep Guardiola has confirmed! 🚨‼️
PEP 💬 (On Rodri's injury) He had surgery this morning - ACL and some meniscus. So, next season he will be here. This season is over [for him].
BREAKING: Kevin De Bruyne is ruled out of Newcastle vs. Man City on Saturday, confirms Pep Guardiola.
Pep Guardiola: “If we win, yeah [we can compete without Rodri]. If we don't win, it's because we miss Rodri. There is not one day in the last years that I was not confident [of coping without Rodri]. Of course, we are stronger with him, stronger with Nathan Ake, we are stronger with Oscar Bobb, with Kevin [De Bruyne]... But it is what it is!”
Pep Guardiola: “When you have an ACL and you are out for eight or nine months, the year after you have muscular problems. That's why it's longer. I think Rodri will come back to his best after not just eight or nine months, but it is what it is. As a club, we have magnificent players and we will find a solution.”
PEP 💬 What he [Rodri] gives us we don't have a similar player, but the other players all together can replace what Rodri has given us since he arrived. We have to do it as a team and find a way to play during a lot of months without an important player.
PEP 💬 Myself and everyone at the Club want to wish him [the @Newcastle_United CEO, Darren Eales] the best recovery for him and his family. Hopefully, he can go through and be healthy, which is the most important thing.
PEP 💬 @Newcastle_United are always impressive. Since Eddie [Howe] has been there, they are one of the toughest, strongest opponents, home and away but especially away... We are going ready for the battle.
Pep Guardiola on signing players in January to replace Rodri in the Man City squad: “We will see, we talked today with Txiki [Begiristain] and we'll see how it's going. We don't have to decide tomorrow, right? We have time to see potential problems we have, and we'll see.”
A phenomenal achievement! 🤯
