BREAKING: Man City want Pep Guardiola to sign a new, long-term contract that would see him extend his stay at the Etihad Stadium beyond a decade.
Pep Guardiola is yet to make a decision on his future and Man City bosses will support him in whatever he chooses. However, Man City would like to see Guardiola pen a 'significant' extension but will place no pressure on him and the decision will be his.
BREAKING: Pep Guardiola has discussed the situation concerning his Man City future with at least one key player over dinner recently to gather their thoughts and input.
Kyle Walker: “The motivation speaks for itself – to be the first team to do the double double, the first team to win four in a row, the first team since Manchester United to do the treble. We keep knocking down these hurdles and this is another that we need to knock down.”
Kyle Walker: “Our rivals who live in the same city, want to rain on our parade. We need to make sure we play the game we have. We’re coming into training, wanting to graft, work hard to put icing on the cake. A trophy against your arch-rivals, it’s big.”
Kyle Walker: “I can assure you, when we come back for pre-season it might take us a few days to get the cobwebs off, but as soon as that first PL game comes, we’re straight back into motion and trying to defend our crown. Why can’t we do five in a row?”
Kyle Walker on his future: “I’ll go as long as I can go. This is a job that I love. I never wake up and think, ‘I don’t want to go in’. I love playing football, it makes me happy. It’s my happy place. I still think I can give more to the Man City team.”
