Tigray Region of Ethiopia

TITBITS OF ACHIEVEMENT
"- All 4 Universities now to reopen from August 2, 2023.
- Students & Lecturers conscripted into the Military to be "demobilized" immediately to return to Classrooms.
- Campus Safety to be given top priority; and military Concentration Camps on Campuses in Mekelle, Axum and others must be closed immediately.
- Issues about School age girls who are in Early Marriage, pregnant or post-natal engagements must be looked into to be sure they return to school.
- Psychological re-orientation of young people and rehabilitation from Substance Abuse was also recommended for high priority consideration.
- Demand for lifting of Suspension on Humanitarian Relief to Tigray Region
- Quick Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement in all over 7,000 Schools across the region.
We appreciate the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Government led by PM Ahmed Abiy Ahmed Ali and the Tigray Interim Regional Government led by H.E. Getachew Reda Kahsey for the Peace Agreement and Prioritization of Education and Health in the Tigray Region.
We also commend the Leadership of Ethiopia Higher Education Institutions Students' Union EHEISU, various Student and Youth Leaders in Tigray Region for collaboration.
We also thank Dr. Fana Hagos Berhane, President of Mekelle University ; Dr. Abdelkadir Kedir, Vice President(Academic) and all others for facilitating our visit.
Finally, i appreciate the wonderful team of African Student Leaders we have worked with on this historic visit - and urge that we do more.
We shall reveal a series of activities to deepen our commitment towards ensuring that every Student at all levels in Tigray Region of Ethiopia return to School

Call for Regular Students of Adigrat University
Adigrat University has decided to admit all its regular students (including post-
graduate), who did not get the opportunity to study in other universities, from
August 05 - 07, 2023.
Accordingly, all regular students are hereby required to personally report to the main campus on the specified dates. You are all reminded to
come with:
1. Adigrat University ldentity Card;
2. Blankets, bed sheets and pillows;and
3. Four passport-size photographs for ID cards and Meal cards.
@No student is allowed to come with unauthorized materials.
Regular students of other Universities who wish to join Adigrat University can also report in person on Agust 09 - 10, 2023 with the required documents.
The University reserves the right not to accept students who fail to report on the specified dates.
Note: For non-regular students of the University, announcement on admission will be made sooner.
