And now there’s this dystopia, out of the U.N. (report attached to the link)

“A new report suggests that the United Nations wants to establish its very own AI babysitting service. Imagine something akin to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, but instead of trying to save us from melting glaciers, it’s here to save us from an AI-driven future where deepfake videos are supposedly a major problem.”

The U.N. met again in the past week. Seems pretty sinister. Dark times ahead if they’re able to proceed as they’d like to.

Weekly reminder that easy to guess passwords are like having no security at all!
News being reported on several social media channels:

Hackers linked to the Chinese government have broken into a handful of U.S. internet service providers — WSJ
It’s Wednesday!

Half way to the weekend 🤩
There are news releases circulating on several sites today claiming Mark Zuckerberg is saying he’s no longer a Democrat, he’s now a “Libertarian” …

Don’t shoot the messenger 🤷‍♂️
Maybe you’ll say you know this already, and many probably do, but here’s a reminder because we were doing some of this analysis again, today:

Depending how you look at it (and we look at it a lot over here), it’s difficult to tell which single entity is pushing more for the “UN Agenda 2030 global goals,” but this much is for sure, Bill Gates is near, or at the actual top of the list of those who are pushing the hardest for “Agenda 2030.”
so I guess it’s becoming apparent that Tim Cook at apple kind of messed up the “Vision Pro” product.

I’m not a big fan of the guy and was never an Apple person but I have to admit Steve Jobs did build one of the most successful tech companies in the history of the world, back up from near failure which was impressive.

But I don’t think Tim Cook is doing as well at Steve Jobs did.

And Apple as a company overall seems mired in “woke-ness” so there’s that to consider, also.

Bottom line, the “Vision Pro” goggles are a flop. On to the next..
There is news breaking on several channels that Eric Adams, the Democrat mayor of New York, has been indicted on federal charges.

No idea what it’s all about. Seems like he’s been on the bad side of the Resident’s admin ever since he spoke out about all the illegals the feds were dumping in New York.

Adams himself of course started his career as a cop, and was on the NY police force for a long time before becoming mayor. So it’s interesting to see him targeted by the weaponized U.S. Department of Retribution.

Maybe he’s really done some corrupt stuff. Who knows. Will be interesting to read the case.

On another note, A long time ago, I personally had the privilege to work in and out of NYC for some time while Guliani was Mayor. It was a great time to be in the city. He really cleaned it up, people loved him.

Pretty interesting video about her story as a programmer, in the early days, a long time ago:

Remember when there was so much public outrage, Microsoft said they were suspending the release of “Microsoft Recall,” the privacy nightmare tool that takes automatic screenshots of your Windows computer every few minutes?

Yeah. Well, that was a few weeks ago, maybe slightly longer.

And now, “Recall” is back, much to the surprise of no one.

Digital dystopia.

In a little more than a month, there’s an election in the U.S. and for some reason Microsoft seems to be getting more aggressive with mining data from people’s computers — with many reports of Windows spying and surveillance events all over social media. If you’ve been putting off learning Linux, there’s no time like to present to switch your computers before even more of your data is vacuumed up in to the cloud by the Bill Gates Operating System (Microsoft Windows) because, who knows what they’re planning to do with it!

And there’s a new version of Zorin OS, one of the favorite Linux distros among Jeff.pro subscribers, to discuss. You’re going to like it!

Learning about the parallel technology world of Free and Open Source Software is a decision to take back control of your personal information, data and ultimately your Digital Freedom.
