Roll out the red carpet…. the first day of Dhul Hijjah has started today 8/2/19.

Ibn Abbas (R) reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, ” *There are no days during which the righteous action is so pleasing to Allah than these days (i.e., the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah* .” He was asked: “O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah?” He (ﷺ) replied, ” *Not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah, except in case one goes forth with his life and his property and does not return with either*. ” (Bukhari)

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “There are no days on which good deeds are greater or more beloved to Allaah than on these ten days, *so recite much Tahleel (saying Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah), Takbeer (saying Allaahu akbar) and Tahmeed (saying al-hamdu Lillaah)*.” (Saheeh Ahmad)

Other things you can do:
-Daily donation
-Daily prayer in the masjid
-Daily recitation of the Quran
-Praying more extra (nafl) prayers
-Fasting as much as you can
-Dhikr in the morning and eve

2- النوافل ...nafl/ voluntary works
3- صدقة السر ...secret charity
4- عمل صالح ...Good deeds
5- صلاة الليل...the tahajjud

(وذكّر فإن الذكرى تنفعُ المؤمنين) And remind, most certainly, reminding is fruitful for the believers

لماذا يختار الميت
“الصدقة”لو رجع للدنيا why do you think the dead wish to perform charity if they return to the Earth? As Almighty has stated: "oh my Lord if only you gave me a little respite, I would surely give in charity
كما قال تعالى
( رب لولا أخرتني إلى أجل قريب فأصدق)

ولم يقل : He didn't say
لأعتمر I'll perform umrah
او لأصليor so I could pray
أو لأصوم or so I could fast

قال العلماء :
ما ذكر الميت الصدقة إلا لعظيم ما رأى من اثرها بعد موته
The ulema said that the dead mentioned charity due to what (s)he saw of its great effect after his / her death
فأكثروا من الصدقة so GIVE PLENTY CHARITY

📕 A Memory from Ayatollah Bahjat (r.a.), “As I said, the answer is the same!”

📌 The Key to Reaching Spiritual Stations

💠 The late Ayatollah Qazi was the mentor of Ayatollah Bahjat. Imam Khomeini said that Ayatollah Qazi was a mountain of mysticism. Ayatollah Bahjat constantly narrated this sentence from the late Qazi when he gave advice, “If a person prays his obligatory prayer on time but doesn’t reach to a high station, he may curse me.” Or, at another time he said, “He may spit on my face.”

💠 One of the scholars said, “Many years ago I went to visit Ayatollah Bahjat. I told him, ‘Show me a way so that I can become a real human being.’ Ayatollah Bahjat said, ‘Pray on time!’” This honoured scholar thought, “He didn’t pay much attention to me. I am praying my prayers on time!”

💠 “One year passed after that meeting. I was going to a gathering where I would meet Ayatollah Bahjat too. I told myself on the way, ‘Let me ask again this time and see if he will introduce a way so that I can reach to everything. What way will he introduce?’”

💠 “When I went, there were a few of us, and he was talking. I still hadn’t said anything when he said in the middle of his talk, ‘Some people ask me, “What should we do to become a real human being and grow?” I say, “Pray on time.” They go and come back the next year and tell themselves, “He didn’t pay attention to me! I should ask him again to see what I should do.” They haven’t listened and did exactly what I said. Now, they want to ask again! As I said, the answer is the same. The answer is always the same.”’”

💠 This honoured scholar said, “I didn’t say anything. Ayatollah Bahjat was right. I didn’t pray some of my prayers on time. I started to fix those too.” Gradually that honoured scholar reached to the station that he wanted, and even more than what he had imagined.
