No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that.

[Bukhari]

He who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know that there is nothing similar to Him #Quran 2:22

β€œIndeed, after hardship there is ease” (94:6)

Allah has spoken about being tested in the Quran; This world is for tests, and with these tests we will grow as people and grow closer to Him. He has also promised that there will be ease after every hardship. Look forward to that, know that the situation you are in won’t be forever, that you will get through it and that it will feel amazing when you do.

And as for those who had believed and done righteous deeds, they will be in a garden of Paradise, delighted.

To be successful you need more than a desire, you have to be willing to be patient and let Allah work in his timing not yours.

Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said, "For him who says: `Subhan-Allahi wa bi hamdihi (Allah is free from imperfection, and I begin with praising Him, and to Him),' a palm-tree will be planted in Jannah.'' [At-Tirmidhi]

In Islam, death is only the end of this world, but it is the beginning of an eternal life. Without a doubt, death is scary, because we fear the unknown. However, the Qurʾān reassures us that those who believe and do good deeds have nothing to fear. Indeed, those who
have said, β€œOur Lord is Allah ” and then remained on a right course – the angels will descend upon them, saying, β€œDo not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised” (Q. 41:30).

Having the ability to break free from the day to day routine and immediate gratification of this world and reflect on the hereafter is a sign of intelligence. The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said, β€œThe intelligent person is the one who keeps
himself in check and prepares for what comes after death; and the foolish person is the one who follows his desires and places false hope in Allah.” (Tirmidhi).

Next time you are counting your money, planning your next career move, or preparing for your future, consider taking a moment to ponder about the purpose of life and the hereafter.

Volume 2, Book 13, Number 33:

Narrated Salman Al-Farsi:
Allah's Apostle (PBUH) said, "Anyone who takes a bath on Friday and cleans himself as much as he can and puts oil (on his hair) or scents himself; and then proceeds for the prayer and does not force his way between two persons (assembled in the mosque for the Friday prayer), and prays as much as is written for him and remains quiet when the Imam delivers the Khutba, all his sins in between the present and the last Friday will be forgiven."

Times of difficulty test our faith, our fortitude and our strength. During these times, the level of our Iman becomes manifest. Adversity strips away our masks, revealing the truth behind mere declaration of faith.
Hardships separate those whose declaration is true from those who are false.
Allah says: β€œDo the people think that they will be left to say, β€˜We believe’ and they will not be tested? But We have certainly tested those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will
surely make evident the liars.”
(Qur’an, 29:2-3)

There is a powerful and amazing thing about tawbah (repentance) and turning back to Allah (SWT). We are told that it is a polish for the heart. What’s amazing about a polish is that it doesn’t just clean. It makes the object that is polished even shinier than it was before it got dirty. If you come back to God, seek His forgiveness, and refocus your life and heart on Him, you have the potential to be even richer than if you’d never fallen at all. Sometimes falling and coming back up gives you wisdom and humility that you may never otherwise have had. - Yasmin Mogahid
