Nine tips for IELTS Speaking Part 1 by British Council. @Insight_English
Thank you everyone who has been with us over an hour in the chat. It makes me very glad to see new members in the chat. It is pleasure to have people from different parts of the republic. Today our chat has covered IELTS speaking part 1 questions from the IELTS speaking assistant app. Alongside with the questions in the app, I've also tried to ask some follow-up questions depending on your answer, the most interesting, I think was about 'Andijan do'ppi'😊. Thank you all. Bye.
IELTS speaking discussion emas!
Angliyada, MMU (Mickey Mouse University😊) da ingliz tili o’qitish bo’yicha malaka oshirgan paytlarimizda, Professor Mr Marcus ‘IELTS part 3ni discussion (muhokama) deyishadi, lekin bu discussion emas, discussion bunaqa bo’lmaydi. discussionda sizni oxirigicha eshitishlari kerak, lekin IELTSda examiner sizni to’xtatib qo’yaveradi degandi’. Haqiqattan ham ko’pchilik o’quvchilar speakingdan chiqib hayolidan o’tadigan narsa ‘suhbat juda tez o’tib ketdi, qaniydi ko’proq gapirsam, speaking ballim yanayam yuqoriroq bo’larmidi?’ Biroq examiner belgilangan 11 -14 minutlik reglamentdan chetga chiqmaydi. Ba'zida biz shunchaki savolga javob berish emas, o’zimizni shaxsiyatimizni ko’rsatish uchun ko'proq gapirgimiz keladi. Buni esa qisqa vaqt ichida iloji yo’q. Asosiysi qisqa bo’lsada, berilgan javobni maromiga yetkazilgani. Yuqori ball juda puxta texnika va strategiyalar qo’llay olish hisobiga erishiladi. Shulardan bittasi sizga berilgan vaqtdan to'gri foydalanish.

🔶How do I prepare for the IELTS at home for free?
I got an 8.5 in IELTS with a 9 in reading, 9 in listening, 8.5 in speaking and 7.5 in writing.
The official booklet that is sent to you once you book your test is more than enough for preparation. It has great practice tests with answer keys for all four parts that allow you to see how the paper pattern is and what kind of questions will come along with the right way of answering.
I watched a lot of free YouTube videos for tips on improving your speaking. I also found a lot of mock speaking tests to be helpful. If you already speak English fluently, it shouldn't be very difficult. The questions are basic and easy to answer, just be confident.
The most important thing for the reading part is to improve your reading speed. Solving the reading practice tests would be helpful. If you already have a habit of reading then it would be an added advantage. One trick that helped me in reading was reading the questions first and then answering them as i read the passage.
Listening was not an issue for me as I have a habit of watching a lot of English TV shows and am comfortable with various accents. Try watching YouTube videos of different TV shows with subtitles to help familiarise yourself with various accents. The practice tests on the IELTS official website proved to be extremely useful for me.
For writing, more than the essay, the data interpretation part is of importance. Practice is needed to be able to accurately represent data in the form of writing. Apart from the booklet, you will easily find a lot of practice material online. For writing, it is important to actually practice writing, and not just read other written material. Unless you write yourself, you won't get the correct technique.
IELTS is pretty easy and a good score is possible with the right practice and techniques. Hope these tricks were useful.
