Because Avalanche encountered an issue with the software running the node, which resulted in a halt in block generation.
Ava Labs co-founder Kevin Sekniqi said the problem was with node version v.1.9.12. Nodes that have upgraded to this update will not be able to link to non-upgraded nodes, affecting the blockchain data consensus process.
Avalanche quickly released a patch called v.1.9.14 and called for validators to update to avoid interruptions.
👉 DOS Chain is a subnet built on the Avalanche network, so it is also affected, after the validators complete the patch update, the DOS Chain network will be able to function normally.
