The panelists, Dr. Emebet Bekele, Ass. Professor of English Language, Literature & Linguistics and Executive of Public & International Relations at HU; Mahteme Feleke, a Lecturer of International Relations, Political Science & Law at CLG; and Addis Zena, Ass. Professor of Sociology at CSSH, delved into the essence of international relations, the role of technology in contemporary IR, most pressing challenges of IR in the 21st century, and strategies of overcoming those challenges from different perspectives.
Chekolech Neshru, a lecturer at CLG facilitated the panel discussion, and students raised questions to the panelists and they explained different issues in the complex nature of international relations and cooperation.
A scholarship student from South Sudan and an exchange student from Germany shared their experiences in Hawassa University with the beauty of differences in culture, language and food beyond being away from home. They both attested to the kindness and hospitality of Ethiopians which made them feel at home away from home.
The dean of CLG and the PIR executive both wished international students at Hawassa university a very pleasant holiday season with the upcoming Christmas and new year, and the session was concluded by certification.
