Introducing DevFest’23 Guest Speakers, Henock Negash

Henock is the founder and community lead of Yekolo Temari, a community of hackers, security professionals, security enthusiasts, and anyone with interest in cybersecurity.

He will be presenting his talk on: “Data protection law and it's impact on the current cybersecurity landscape of Ethiopia”

RE-Introducing DevFest’23 Guest Speakers,

In addition to his role as CEO of QRB Labs and his passion for Bitcoin, he was co-founder and CTO of Gro Intelligence, where he led the science, engineering and product teams.

Prior to Gro, he worked for 8+ years in engineering at Google, where he first worked for several years in web search on ranking algorithms. He was then Tech Lead on Google’s Ad Exchange. He led the engineering team responsible for auction algorithms and mathematical optimization.

Most recently, he was Tech Lead for Contributor by Google, a product that he invented and led from research to launch. Contributor enables a post-ads business model for the web through market-based micropayments. Previously, Nemo was co-founder of Invisible Hand Networks, Inc. which provided real-time auction-based bandwidth exchanges for content providers and ISPs.

💻 Hands-on Workshops on DevFest ’23 with Gemmechu & Milky Hassena

Gemmechu is a second-year computer science Ph.D. student at Cornell University, working at the intersection of computer vision, machine learning, and graphics. His research focuses on 3D computer vision, where he tries to answer the question "how to understand the 3D world from a collection of images." Prior to Cornell, he worked as a research intern at the University of Michigan and Ecole Polytechnique

Milky is an Electrical Engineering student at AASTU, with experience in 3D animation, game development, and UI/UX design. His journey in the gaming industry began during his first year as an intern at Qene Games, where he honed his skills in game development for three years. He also worked as a UI/UX designer for 6 companies on various projects
