በደቡባዊ ፖላንድ ያልተለመደ ኃይለኛ ዝናብ ወንዞች ከልክ በላይ እንዲሞሉ በማድረጉ ሳቢያ በትንሹ 20 ሰዎች ሲሞቱ 6,544 ያህሉ ደግሞ አካባቢውን ለቀው እንዲወጡ አድርጓል። እስካሁን ድረስ 11,502 ባለ አንድመኝታ ቤቶች እና አፓርትመንቶች፣ 6,033 የቤተሰብ መገልገያዎች እና 724 እንደ ትምህርት ቤቶች፣ መንገዶች እና ድልድዮች ያሉ የህዝብ መገልገያዎች ተጎድተዋል ወይም ወድመዋል ሲሉ ጃን ግራቢክ ቅድመ ግምታቸውን አስቀምጠዋል።
