#ቀዳሚት_ሥዑር (#ሥዑር_ቅዳሜ)
እግዚአብሔር ሥነ ፈጥረትን ከመፍጠር ዕረፍት እንዳደረገባት ዅሉ፣ የፍጥረት ርእስ የኾነውን አዳምን ለማዳን ሕማምና ሞት የተቀበለው አምላካችን ክርስቶስ በከርሰ መቃብር አርፎባታል፡፡ (ማቴ. ፳፯፥፷፩)፡፡

‹ሥዑር› የተባለችበት ምክንያትም በዓመት አንድ ቀን ስለምትጾም (በሰንበት አይጾምም ግን የጾም ቀን በመኾኗ) "የተሻረች - ሥዑር" ለማለት ነው።

የጌታችን እናት ቅድስት ድንግል ማርያም፣ ወዳጆቹ ቅዱሳን ሐዋርያትና ሌሌችም የጌታ ወዳጆች ጌታችን ተላልፎ ከተሰጠበት ዕለት ጀምሮ ብርሃነ ትንሣኤውን እስኪያዩ ድረስ፥ አምላካቸው በመቃብር ስላረፈ ዕለቷን ሞቱን በማሰብና ትንሣኤውን በመናፈቅ በጾም አክብረዋታል፡፡

#_ለምን_ቄጠማ_እናስራለን?

ቅዳሜ የጠዋቱ ጸሎት ሲፈጸም ካህናቱ ‹‹ገብረ ሰላመ በመስቀሉ፤ በመስቀሉ ሰላምን አደረገ፥ መሠረተ›› እያሉ በቤተ ክርስቲያን ለተሰበሰቡ ምእመናን የምሥራች ቄጠማ ያድላሉ፡፡

ቄጠማው በኖኅ ዘመን በንፍር ውኃ ምድር በተጠለቀለቀች ጊዜ፤ አባታችን ኖኅ የውኃውን መጉደል ለመረዳት ርግብን ልኮ እርሷም ቄጠማን እንደ የምሥራች ምልክት በአፏ ይዛ በመመለስ፥ የውኃውን መድረቅ እንደተነገረችውና እንደተደሰተ ሁሉ (ዘፍ. ፱፥፩-፳፱) ‹‹በክርስቶስ ሞት፤ ሞተ ነፍስ ከሰው ልጆች ተወገደ፤›› ስንል ቅድስት ቤተ ክርስቲያን ቅዳሜ ጠዋት ቄጠማ ታድላለች፡፡

የምሥራች ተምሳሌት የኾነውን ቄጠማም፤ ከሲኦል ቃጠሎ ወደ ጥንተ ማኅደራችን ገነት መመለሳችንን  ለመመስከር በግንባራችን እናስረዋለን፡፡

Deadly tornado leaves trail of destruction in Oklahoma, Midwest

A powerful tornado swept through Sulphur in Oklahoma, where a state of emergency has been declared in 12 counties, leveling buildings, trees and knocking out power for tens of thousands of residents.

At least 3 people are reported dead, including a child, while at least 5 have been reported dead across the Midwest in total after winds over 136mph (218kph) and up to 7 inches of rain falling within hours reported.

Chinese state media is reporting the death toll may still rise after a highway in southern China's Guangdong province collapsed on Wednesday.

Rescue workers have taken 30 people to hospital already.

❗️Beirut restaurant blast kills 9, injures more

Nine people were killed and several were injured in a fire following a gas explosion at a Beirut restaurant on Tuesday.

Footage shows ambulance workers, police officers, forensic experts, and firefighters working on the site of the incident, which reportedly sparked after a vehicle full of gas canisters was seen outside.

Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura announced earlier that the overall number of deaths reached a total of 179, including 15 children, while at least 125 Kenyans have been injured.

However, later, two more bodies were found among the debris, Felix Maiyo, the South Rift Regional Manager of the Kenya Red Cross reportedly said. On Monday, a dam burst in the Kenyan town of Mai Mahiu, northwest of the capital, destroying homes and cutting off highways as torrential rains and flooding wrecked the country.

Kenya braces for catastrophic cyclone after weeks of floods

After at least 210 deaths from recent torrential rainfall and flooding that has devastated the East African powerhouse, Kenya is facing even worse conditions - and possibly its first ever cyclone, warned President William Ruto on Friday.

Meteorologists forecast Cyclone Hidaya making landfall Saturday, bringing with it eight-meter waves and winds up to 165kph (100mph).

Citizens living near dams and reservoirs have been advised to evacuate as a precaution.
