Proper September 2023 security patches have been re-merged after today's releases for the Pixel devices. Some devices will have a follow-up to their September patch release within the week. :)

Our OTA updater has been DISABLED for new releases in preparation for the Android 14 release. Please stop trying to report it as a bug. It is intentional to avoid dirty flashing from Android 13 to 14.

Hello everyone, I am Aggelos Savvopoulos, also known as DarkAngelGR, and I have been a proud member of Evolution X for the past four years. Evolution X is a custom ROM that aims to provide the best user experience with Pixel goodies and features. I have been bringing official and stable builds to Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 9 Lite and POCO F3 devices, and I hope you have enjoyed using them.

Today, I have an exciting news to share with you. I have decided to get a OnePlus 11 device to bring Evolution X device.

However, getting a OnePlus 11 is not an easy task. The device costs around 600 euros second hand, which is way beyond my budget. I, Anierin, have moved on from OnePlus devices but I'm thrilled to hand that role over to new, experienced maintainers. As the Android 14 release is just around the corner, let me remind our community that initial Android 14 builds will have little to no additional features as porting them from Android 13 will take some time for testing and fixing code conflicts.

Kindly lower your expectations and excitement. We're aware that everyone wants the latest version of Android. We want it as well. But building pressure will only lead to more issues.

As we all wait for Android 14, latest October security patches have been manually merged into our Android 13 sources; release tags aren't out yet that's why it's a manual merge for now. Just in case some maintainers may want to release with the latest patches.

We are aware that some Android 14 codes are now available. Work begins today.

Our Android 14 source is still in progress as of today. Several issues have already been resolved with the help of some users in our chat.

For maintainers/builders, you may try syncing and building but there will definitely be some build errors that need to be ironed out.

Evolution X Android 14 source may be ready to build for some devices as of now.

Our team has yet to manage to boot A14 on any of our official devices (except for whyred and redfin) which means the ROM couldn't be tested for new changes.

Our gapps package is currently updated with Pixel 8 Pro apps and libs while we have yet to update some overlays within our vendor. Several of our repositories have been updated as well to reflect the changes made by Google in A14.

We appreciate your patience on this and it seems we'll need a bit more time to find out the real reason why our devices would not boot A14.
