校方傍晚發出電郵，因應最新情況而提升校園保安級別，包括再度隨機搜查師生個人物品。

小組在此強烈譴責校方以保安為由，借機再次侵犯師生私隱。我們呼籲所有港大人進出校園時拒絕進行安全檢查，並阻止校方故意阻撓公眾人士在有需要時進入校園。

The University announced through email this evening that they will reinstate stricter access control measures, including the random searching of bags and personal items.

The Petition Group strongly condemns the University for once again putting in place a measure that infringes upon the privacy of students and staff in the name of security. We call on HKUers to boycott these security procedures and prevent the University from obstructing the public from accessing the campus when in need.
